Terrific experience I was interested in doing some mods on my Ram Truck, went in and hooked up with Anthony Barone. This guy knows what he is talking about! suggested som I was interested in doing some mods on my Ram Truck, went in and hooked up with Anthony Barone. If you are the media then feel free to contact me at 289-624-9466. First, be very CAREFUL when buying a car from this dealership. Do not do 1 mechanical inspection but instead do 3 mechanical inspection. The used vehicles at this dealership may be priced well and offer nice features and models however they are littered with problems. I approached this dealership in March 2017 looking for a 7-8 passenger SUV. I was open to almost every brand except American. I saw a Mercedes Benz GL350 and I decided to arrange to have it inspected by a mechanic before buying the car. The dealership advised me that I could not drive the car off the lot and my mechanic would have to come and look at it at the dealership. This was very bizarre for me because I have had purchased cars in the past and no dealership ever placed such on condition on me. My sales guy was Jeff and OMG I had never met such a rude and inexperienced sales consultant in my life. He was rushing us from car to car and telling us to hurry up after sitting in a car for only 3 seconds. After lots of communication with the dealership, they agreed to allow me to take the car to a local mechanic lol...I know it is hard to believe. I put down a deposit and I put a condition on the contract saying "subject to mechanical inspection". The dealership advised me that they wanted to complete their inspection first and prepare the car for mechanical inspection therefore they would advise me it is okay to bring my mechanic. I left the dealership and waited for a few days and I did not hear back from the dealership so I called and they advised me that they are waiting for me to bring my mechanic to the dealership and/or take the car to a local mechanic. I spoke to Jeff and he advised that his manager will not complete any repairs needed for the car until I agree to buy the car. At this point I was very confused because they had told me they wanted to prepare the car for mechanical inspection. I decided that I would not look desperate for the car and let a day go by to think about this transaction and the car. I contacted OMVIC and MTO and they immediately asked me for information and advised that the behaviors of the staff at the dealership appeared to be very fishy. OMVIC advised that consumers have the right to a hassle free and full inspection when buying a car. Furthermore, after speaking with OMVIC and talking to a few people, I decided that I would exercise my responsibility of getting the car checked out because if the car is mechanically fine then I would buy it. I attend the dealership again and I am greeted by Jeff. Jeff asks me why I am at the dealership and I advised that I want to get the car inspected because I work full-time and I cannot miss work. Jeff asks me if I have a local mechanic and I responded with yes. I quickly call the local mechanic and schedule a time on the same day. Jeff leaves to get the keys and he returns and advises that the dealership had decided to not allow me to take the car for a mechanical inspection!!!! At this point I was very confused and I decided for sure that I was not going to buy the car. I told myself that no one or anything could persuade me to buy the car even if the dealership gives it to me for half the price. I asked Jeff why I could not take the car for a mechanical inspection and he simply said because the dealership had decided to not allow it. I requested to get my deposit back and Jeff advised that I would have to wait 5 weeks because the dealership would need to write a cheque. I got firm here and said no I want my deposit back ASAP. They are quick to take your deposit by credit card but as soon as they have to refund you money they need 5 weeks to process the payment. Jeff insisted that he could not refund me my money so I requested to speak with the sales manager. Jeff asked me to wait and he returns and instead takes me to the dealership's finance manager, Ron Basir. This man is very sneaky and dishonest. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS GUY. The amount of times that this guy tried to go back on word back and forth was astonishing. He pretends like he cares about his customers but do not be fooled. Furthermore, I deal with Ron going forward. Ron asked me what had happened and I explained the whole story and he told me that he was confused. He told me to not worry about Jeff and the sales manager because they were apparently being fired soon anyways. In Ron's office, there was a woman sitting there and her name was Loretta and she appeared to be very nice. She looked like the only person in the whole dealership that had morals and respect. At one point, she had come up to me and she was quietly apologizing for the whole ordeal and it was as though she was embarrassed. I ask Ron what was going on and why the dealership was being so sneaky and dishonest. His response was "I do not know" and he said he would make a phone call in front of me to figure the details. He makes a few phone calls and looks at me and says "We are not going to sell you this car". I was confused and I asked why and he pulls a sheet out of his folder and shows a list of repairs that the Mercedes Benz GL350 needed which according to the dealership was going to cost almost $10,000 based on their fees and costs. What is sad and scary is that they will probably leave the Mercedes Benz GL350 on the lot for another unlucky customer to buy it. They will try to be sneaky and not allow the next customer to do a mechanical inspection and BAM someone will get a bad deal. I feel I was fortunate that I called OMVIC and acted cautiously but others might not be so lucky especially woman, newcomers and/or people who are prone to being taken control of. I cannot believe such a big dealership would try to sell a bad car. These dealerships act as if they have no family, friends, children. Above and Beyond - ALWAYS I have just come back from having my Dodge Journey RX serviced at North York Dodge Chrysler. What exceptional service! Not only did Jonathan walk me I have just come back from having my Dodge Journey RX serviced at North York Dodge Chrysler. What exceptional service! Not only did Jonathan walk me through the items that needed to be addressed, he actually took me to the back garage to show me the issues while my car was on the hoist. It made me feel very confident in the work that needed to be done. But the exceptional service didn't stop there... Jon took the time to find refurbished TOP LINE after market parts that would last 85% percent of OEM parts but cost less than half the price. Since my car had to be worked on for more than a couple of hours, Jon ordered the shuttle to take me home. What a pleasant ride! I had Juli take me home and then pick me back up to return me to the dealer. Juli was warm and engaging and made the ride fly by! He knew the best routes and was perfectly punctual. What a fabulous representation for a large company like Chrysler. Job well done hiring such efficient and wonderful personnel! More
