What time was my 3:45 appointment! Hey. I can't say too many bad things here because they do look after me and my truck because of past terrible experiences. It was waaay better than th Hey. It was waaay better than the last time when they forgot to bolt my transmission to the suspension. Another story. Much more disturbing. So thumbs up on improved customer service. So my experience this time was better than the last. I had booked a 3:45 appointment to code the tpms sensors into the on board computer. It is a 10 minute job that is billed for a 30 minute shop rate. I have my own tpms reader and programmer but Toyota builds a special snowflake of vehicle maintenance. I give it 3 stars because the shop moved my truck exactly 1 hour late to the maintenance floor. Of course I had my kid with me and promised him it would only be 30 minutes and he could hang with me. So when 50 minutes had rolled by without the truck making any progress he asked me "What time is you 3:45 appointment, dad?" Smart kid. I normally refuse to deal with a Toyota dealer for anything tire related because of their stranglehold on tpms coding and maintenance. My tire shop was frustrated because of the "toyota" factor and couldn't get the codes to work. It seems toyota corporate designs vehicles to need a dealer to code tire sensors to maximize profits. Most other brands of vehicles have smart computers that can sense a new sensor or a simple button to "learn" the new tpms sensors and plug them into the computer. Hey, even my daughters cell phone can find and learn a new wifi signal. However, besides being an hour late for the appointment and not being able to code it themselves, I did get my truck back this time without the rear axel coming unbolted. So the service was better than expected. Hats off to Jason and crew who reduced the price for me to encourage me to take their fix for the problem. They work hard and are under the influence or the absolute worst Toyota dealer ever. I hold Mr Falconi personally responsible for the lack of quality control in his shop. I feel his staff are trying their hardest to ballance their bosses cut corner wishes with real customer service. Staff 5 stars. Owner 1 star. Over all rating 3 stars because I didn't have to secure my transmission with a cargo strap to get me to a real and honest dealer again for the second time. More
