When we arrived at Kia we had just come from 2 dealerships where we were barely even acknowledged. At Kia we felt welcomed right away. I had my eye on a Kia Rio5, so grudgingly walked in to this Kia dealership with my guard up, expecting the worse. Thankfully, I was greeted by Rundeep at the door, and my prejudices were proven wrong. He was very patient with me and made me feel at ease, in the spirit of true professionalism. He presented me with the benefits of this car is comparison with others, showing his proficient knowledge in the product. He gave me a price that met my budget, which is a must for me. Because this was my first car, I went to go check other dealerships, and regretted it immediately. No one displayed the friendliness, knowledge and professionalism Rundeep had with me. I went back to this dealership and bought a car off him. He is clearly a hard worker who is passionate at his job, and it's always a good feeling being able to buy from someone like that. There ar Kia Hunt Club, is it worth the detour? The quick answer is yes IF you deal with Courtney, and IF you remain skeptic and do your research. There are closer Kia dealerships to the centre of Ottawa, but the glowing reviews, 4.5/5 stars at the time of writing, are what swayed me into visiting, and buying from this Dilawri dealership. I have bought from other Kia delears in Ottawa in the past (sleezy ones like Kia417, or stubborn ones like Promenade Kia). I can definitely say the quality of friendly service offered here surpasses any other Kia dealerships in the region. Hunt Club Kia seems to understand that YOU are the client. For a quick run-down here are my pros and cons of my buying experience: Pros: - Friendliness and Openness - Willingness to negotiate lower than the competition - Courtney is not only friendly, but honest about margins and number figures. (This is really rare) - At the time of purchase, Hunt Club Kia had the best manager's rebates. - Dilawri has Instant Live Chat on their website. - Complimentary Full Tank of gas (the status quo nowadays) Cons: - Located far of Downtown - The first 4 times I called for help, I was transferred to a voicemail. (Used the Chat) - They initially gave me wrong information about the model availability of my car. - I was charged a minimal extra contract finance fee not originally agreed to. - Car was not completely ready on the day of pick-up, and had to make a second appointment SKETCHY: Although advertised on their website for EVERY purchase, the manager's incentives (i.e car starter, 2 free payments) need to be negotiated. If you negotiate too low, they will simply remove these "promotions". The Competitive Bureau could fine them for false advertising as there is currently no fine print on their add online. SKETCHY: The promo giving me the first two payments for free was actually just them sending me a check for the amount of ALMOST, not all of the first two payments. A check I have still not recieved weeks after the purchase, and after I already started making payments. REALLY SKETCHY: After signing the purchase agreement and coming to pick up my car, I was told that the plates for the car were not included in the bill. They sticked at 10 days temporary license on my windshield and told me to go pay them at the licensing bureau out of my own pocket. To Recap, Hunt Club Kia will get you in the door with misleading advertising, but are more willing to negotiate the total sale price. They will attempt to add surcharges, and save (ie not paying for the plates) if they feel like you got too much of a good deal. BUT my honesty issues came after dealing with Courtney (the most honest salesperson I have met). By doing your research, always being skeptical of every document and statement and reading every single line before you sign you could walk out of Hunt Club Kia with a better overall experience and a better deal than any other Kia dealership in Ottawa. I rate my experience buying at Hunt Club as Okay. Which is higher than the standard in Ottawa. More

After arranging for a test drive, Eli and I exchanged a few emails about the trade-in and price. Unsure if this was a good deal, I visited another local Kia dealer and spoke with a salesman there. His final offer to me was $4,000 higher than Eli's price. When I told him that, he said that the price Eli had quoted was "impossible". I returned to Kia on Hunt Club, got Eli to write up the deal and took it. Purchasing a car doesn't have to be a miserable experience. If you want a great vehicle for a fair price, go see Eli and take a Kia for a test drive. More

I didn't intend to purchase new, however, I feel I was given a very fair opportunity and went with new, My experience with the finance dept was also flawless. Again, I was well taken care of and Chalhoub was tremendously patient in providing me the information needed to make a sound decision. Its been a few weeks and I love my kia soul.
