High pressure , get everything in writing prior to delivery if you decide to go to this dealership. When picked up on delivery date the extras purchased were not the ones agreed to . The vehicle was also sold with safety which clearly shouldn't of passed (confirmed by another shop) . DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP !!!! Learn from my terrible mistake! More
I went in to Kia on Huntclub with the intent to purchase a new Kia Telluride. We had purchased 2 cars there in 2020 (a Telluride and a Soul). I was trading in the 2020 Telluride which we loved (and still a new Kia Telluride. We had purchased 2 cars there in 2020 (a Telluride and a Soul). I was trading in the 2020 Telluride which we loved (and still do). On my first visit I wanted to purchase the Xline trim level. After some negotiations I realized that it was not in my budget. The next day, I texted and scheduled an appointment with the salesmen I was dealing with. As I pulled in the parking lot he texted me and asked if I could postpone the appointment by an hour. I decided to wait in the waiting lounge. When he finally was able to come and talk to me we quickly discussed the fact that I was thinking about going with the lower SX line. (I was hoping to go with the Panthera Grey). The salesmen mentioned that they do not have one in stock and it would be at least the end of April before they get one in. He also states that if I am ok with the Black he would make me a great deal and possible save a couple of thousand dollars. Unfortunately an emergency came up and I had to take off for a few minutes. When I got back the first thing he tells me is that the person who appraised my vehicle the first time I was in, was not qualified and he only used Autotrader to assess the value of my vehicle. That being said, they wanted to reduce the amount of my appraisal by $3000 dollars. The salesmen tells me that they were willing to accept the earlier appraisal but not willing to negotiate any further than that. Meaning the reduced price that was mentioned before I had to leave was off the table. Also, they wanted to charge labour charges on the hitch and wiring that I wanted installed before I picked the car up. I have purchased may cars and motorcycles in the past and I have never had to pay installation charges on parts that were purchased in the initial negotiations. At the end of the day I had to ask for my keys back many times, which they had asked for to reappraise my trade in. The first time I asked for them back was when I asked why the price online for the hitch and wiring was different from the price they were giving me. Thats when the salesmen said that I was saving money because they were not charging me the FULL cost of installation of the hitch and wiring. I then asked for my keys again. The salesmen kept asking me if there was anything they could do to finalize the deal. At that point I said no. Please bring my keys back. I had to repeat that many times. Finally, the salesmen went back to the sales managers office. (I followed staying back about 20 ft) I hear the sales manager say offer him $500 off. As the salesmen turns to walk out of the office I look at him and tell him he do not return without my keys. As I am walking out of the dealership, the salesmen keeps asking me why I am upset at him. I told him I am upset at the situation. I was told one thing then everything changed. I am glad this happened. I was actually going to recommend this dealership to my 87 year old father in law who wants to trade his Hyundai in for a new vehicle. I DO NOT recommend this dealership for sales. They are pushy and will always ask for something physical from you so that you cannot leave without persistence. More
Last month, I went ti Hunt Club Kia in Ottawa just to get some help in opening up my two key fobs. Well, for starters, the service desk person put them in backwards (As noted in the first repair invoice), t some help in opening up my two key fobs. Well, for starters, the service desk person put them in backwards (As noted in the first repair invoice), then their attempts to get the fobs to work in that state resulted in the alarm going off repeatedly and xxxxing up my starter. They charged $863 to fix what THEY broke. Then when I came to pick the car up, thye had left an air hose off which my engine run poorly and with unusual sounds, so I had it towed back to their shop to rectify. When I picked it up after that, the second invoice noted that the power steering module was making a funny noise. Of course, they neither fixed it, nor mentioned it to me. I got it towed again to another ship, that quoted $2K to fix the problem, which I did NOT have prior to coming to their gyp shop the first time. Dilawri, a brand of incompetents, thieves and utter moral cretins. More
Horrible service they dented my car two times I got oil change and a service change. First time they fixed it the second time I just got excuses because where the mechanic dented it this time was more mone change and a service change. First time they fixed it the second time I just got excuses because where the mechanic dented it this time was more money and a longer process so they offer me a free tire change and now I'm stuck fixing this indent for 600$. Very unprofessional and unfair the service manager is horrible. She said she would look around and still have not heard anything but I'm not surprised. More
Sales Rep Ali is a credit to this dealership. Professional, personable and did his best to make a deal but unfortunately we were too far apart. I regret purchasing from this dealership, wish I had gone somewhere else. On the first visit (with Abdul), I had agreed to a deal that I was comfortable with and fit in my budget. I made my downpayment and t somewhere else. On the first visit (with Abdul), I had agreed to a deal that I was comfortable with and fit in my budget. I made my downpayment and then met with Imad to go over the deal again. During the second meeting, Imad had made it clear that because I had a student loan, I was going to have to pay a lot more. I felt very pressured into signing a new agreement (based on what he said and the fact that I had already paid my deposit), which increased the price by over $16,000. After calculating this when I got home, I immediately reached out to schedule a meeting to renegotiate the terms. I reached out multiple times, without ever getting a response. The following week I went back in and met with Abdul and a different finance manager. Although we did end up meeting in the middle in terms of the price, I resigned a third agreement and was told my car would arrive July 11th. On July 11th I reached out, but never got a response. It took calling the dealership twice to get the salesman to respond to my message. I was then told that my car would not be ready until Monday. On Monday I reached out (again, I had to call the dealership to get them to respond to my messages) and was told that my car had actually arrived on the Monday, so now it would not be ready until the end of the week. As I am writing this, I still don't have the car, so I guess we will see when I actually end up with it. Overall, I felt very misled and ignored by the dealership, the lack of communication has been really frustrating. I'm honestly quite concerned about dealing with them in the future if there are any problems with the car. If anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it! More
Never, ever go here. They will sell to you with a smile, then screw you later if you need help. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other car dealer options. Spent They will sell to you with a smile, then screw you later if you need help. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other car dealer options. Spent 55K on a new car, purchasing "5 Star" extra warranty protection. Was told "you will not have to pay for anything if anything goes wrong." Check engine light came on in month 3 of ownership. Service department ran diagnostic, said they couldn't find anything, but it "could be bad gas" (but they do not know). Then they want me to pay them $$$ for this diagnostic. Kicker: when I drove off the lot, the light immediately came back on. I called and they want me to come in again since "they really want to help." I asked if I would be charged again if they cannot ascertain the problem and was told "if we cannot find any broken parts, we will have to charge you." Now I am stuck with a new 55K vehicle with a check engine light that I have to pay to repair. What a joke. More
So I will try to be objective. 1. I understand that the dealer does not get delivery dates from Kia Canada (which is stupid) 2. I have had wonderful experiences at other dealers 1. I understand that the dealer does not get delivery dates from Kia Canada (which is stupid) 2. I have had wonderful experiences at other dealers over the years, Hyndai, Acura, Ford, Infiniti but Kia on Hunt Club has been the worst experience I have ever had. 3. The Sales Person didn't know basic features of the trim package I wanted. 4. I was misled into signing on May 31st, being told "Next week, the latest the following Monday and you will have your car". Only to get the car a month later. 5. General Manager was also telling me that a week at the most, then once I asked about delivery dates he back-peddled on the delivery date and blantly flubbed that he had told me that there would be a delay. 6. The only reason I am giving the rating a 1 is due to the car. 7. I will be taking the car for service to a different dealer in Ottawa 8. The Dilwari Value Package I was told was required but then found out it was not; also they are vague on detail. 9. Due to my overall experience of being misled and I think strung along I will never shop from Kia On Hunt Club. 10. Use the Automobile Protection Association website to get dealer costs so you know where to negotiate from. 11. Input to the General Manager and Sales rep; talk straight and be upfront vs. being vague and outright misleading statements. More
If you want to get RIPPED OFF, this is definitely the dealership. Go in to buy a new car, come out buying a used car and your insurance won't give you full coverage. The people are attentive, and calling the main line is promptly answered after choosing an option to speak to anyone. Estevan the sales specialist was helpful. The pricing of the pre-owned vehicle that promptly answered after choosing an option to speak to anyone. Estevan the sales specialist was helpful. The pricing of the pre-owned vehicle that my wife and I chose was spot on. The extra warranty that we purchased with the vehicle was surprisingly more than fair for a pre-owned. More
