My 2007 Mazda6 had broken down just outside of Kamloops, due to the rigors of the Coquihalla. Kamloops Mazda allowed me to tow it to their dealership; the service center got me in unbelievably quickly. And, they eventually gave me a massive deal on their service fees due to them having to tell me my beloved Mazda6 was finished. Would I purchase a new vehicle? They didn't have anything I wanted, so I resigned myself to driving home to Alberta in a Uhaul. Over the next four days, Jerry was outstanding; so patient and helpful with the dozens of options regarding getting me home as well as dealing with my old car. We did some test drives of some in-stock vehicles, and even though I didn't like anything we drove, Jerry continued to support my situation. As it happened, a car that I WAS interested in (2015 Mazda3 GT) came in on my fourth and final day in Kamloops: We drove it, and I bought it. But to make it happen Jerry was in early and stayed late on several occasions due to my complications. He even drove me to the bank. Amazing above-and-beyond service from everyone concerned. Thank you again, Jerry. More

He was always available to assist with any questions I had with regards to the purchase of my new CX5 & has promptly handled all my queries & concerns since purchasing the car in a friendly & professional manner. Dawna Apeldoorn in Finance was also wonderful to work with. Thank you Mazda Kamloops for making my first new car purchase as wonderful & stress-free an experience as possible. I called the dealership and they said come right over. It was 445PM. Bonnie checked us in, her boss & the technician went right to work. They quickly diagnosed the problem, applied an interim fix - enough to get us on our way and safely home and we were off in an hour. Very courteous service, they stayed overtime to get us going, and very reasonable charges. Good, old fashioned service. Thanks Kamloops Mazda, you saved our little vacation. More
Don't believe everything you read Just bought a 2016 Mazda CX5 GS from this dealer. They were great to deal with and fair with the negotiations. The sales person didn't bother pointing out either. I went back the next day to request a paint pen to fill the hood. Even before I completed my sentence for the request, the manager and the sales person literally shouted at me that there is nothing they can do. Never ever have I been treated so poorly at any dealership ever. These guys are dishonest and rude. Stay away. More
Wonderful Experience I didn't end up buying a car here, so I can't comment on how the actual sales are, but I have to say that it was by far the most enjoyable dealership I didn't end up buying a car here, so I can't comment on how the actual sales are, but I have to say that it was by far the most enjoyable dealership experience I had throughout Kamloops. I wish every car salesperson was like Jerry honestly, and highly recommend the guy if you're thinking about a Mazda. There wasn't any games, the guy gave us tonnes of space, and gave us two test drives with no hassle before or after. I wish I ended up liking the car more because I would have far rather worked with him over any other dealerships. More
I would not recommend this dealership as we had very poor service. It started out great before we bought it and right up until the day we went to pick it up in December. We arrived to pick it up as a famil service. It started out great before we bought it and right up until the day we went to pick it up in December. We arrived to pick it up as a family. My husband, myself and our 3 children. We only buy a new vehicle every 12 years so it is quite an event. Our Salesman, Bob, brought it out of the 'garage' where they had it stored. We looked it over and my husband found a blemish on the back passenger door. He asked Bob what it was and Bob said oh it's just a water spot. My husband said, 'no, I think whatever it is has gone down below the clear coat.' The detailers tried to take it out. We looked at it again and I actually had to ask Bob to move from in front of it because he was standing in front to cause a shadow. The blemish was still there. We decided we better look at the whole vehicle a little closer. At first I found a door ding in the front driver's door. The reason for that, 'no big deal'. To top it off on the top fender there was a spot that was totally missed being painted from factory. The sales manager wasn't in that day so we decided to leave the vehicle and let them figure out what they were going to do. While we were there with our family, the salesmen were sitting around the table doing nothing except talking and throwing out very poor language(the 'f' word regularly) and looking very unprofessional. Because we were making the deal in December we were initially given an ipad air which we signed for and my son took to the truck. We however had to give it back when we decided not to take the vehicle. My husband and I went back in on the Monday to tell them that because we were buying a new vehicle we wanted it new so please order us a new one. When we got in to the dealership first Dawna and then Phil told us that on our time we could take our 'new' cx-5 and get it to the body shop and it would be looked after. Phil also told us that he 'gave Bob heck' because he should've had all these things dealt with before we even came in. In other words, fix the mess on the vehicle and we wouldn't have know any different. I could go on and on about this dealership and how they mistreated us but I won't. Enough has been said. I WOULD NOT recommend this dealership to anyone and I will drive to another city before I take my new cx-5 that we bought from Freeway Mazda to Kamloops Mazda for service. More
It is hard to fault the whole Kamloops Mazda dealership based on a negative experience with 1 person but the continued bad service I get in the service department is really hard to ignore. After spending based on a negative experience with 1 person but the continued bad service I get in the service department is really hard to ignore. After spending $35k and shelling out for the gold level extended warranty I shouldn't have to fight to get warranty items replaced or wait until a service is due to get a warranty item fixed and yet when I try to book my car in to get something fixed I am told I have to wait until service is due before they will do anything so that they don't have to pay for 2 appointments. I had a warranty issue in the first few months with my blue tooth and their solution was to cut holes in my new car and replace a piece that wasn't going to solve the problem....I had to literary fight with Ben to just replace the failing blue tooth adapter which once I finally had it done fixed the problem. I also bought a bra for the car when I bought the car and installed it myself, I had to take it back twice and ask for a mechanic to come out and look at it before they believed me that the bra didn't fit my make and model and they had to refund it. The arrogance and superiority complex that I get from Ben when I take my car in is beyond insulting and quite honestly if i could get warranty work done elsewhere I would not go back. The sales team was great, and I have no problem with the rest of the dealership but the service department really needs to replace Ben because their reputation in this town is not good. If you have to deal with the service department deal with Kayle as he is quite pleasant to deal with and will get the job done without making you feel like you wasted your money buying a Mazda. I have my oil changed there because the price is decent but I go in only when I know Kayle is working which is usually on the weekend. Love my Mazda, hate having to take it in. More
Worst service department ever. Ben was very rude to me. The work order I got after the work was done was twice as much as I was quoted. He claimed their shop charges per mechanic instead of a shop rate. Wh The work order I got after the work was done was twice as much as I was quoted. He claimed their shop charges per mechanic instead of a shop rate. When I asked about that he was rude and condescending. Shop supplied are randomly thrown onto the bill when none were required for the task. I will never take my vehicle back there, and I would recommend you never take yours there in the first place. Too bad one guy can ruin such a great dealership. More
