I made a quick decision to purchase a new Chevrolet Cruze. It was exactly the vehicle I need as a commuter. With the diesel engine it is perfect for my long hours in the car. We were greeted by Bernie Bartz in the lot and he showed us several trucks which met our requirements. After going over all the specifics, I got a little cold feet and needed some time to reflect on the possible purchase. Both Bernie and the sales manager encouraged me to go home and think about it - absolutely no feeling of pressure. First time at a dealer that it wasn't suggested that I had to buy right now or I would miss the deal. We felt very comfortable and at ease. A great buying experience from first visit to drive away. This car lot was in NewLiskeard My story begins in 1971, this was the year I purchased my first vehicle off the lot of Wilson's Chevrolet, Buick, GMC. This car lot was in NewLiskeard, Ontario and owned by Jim Wilson's father. I bought a 1966 Pontiac Paressiene, but more importantly I started the beginning of a long standing relationship that is still strong today. Regrettably, I cannot remember the name of the sales person that made this young mans meager income work so as to purchase such a beautiful car, but more importantly it was the trust and friendship that was felt throughout the entire deal. This overwhelming gratitude that I felt driving away in that Pontiac, has stayed with me for all these years! That same feeling of sincere "friendship through trusted business" is just as alive today in Jim Wilson's team as it was 43 years ago, and I get that same old feeling, of comfort, trust, and friendship every time I go to Jim's lot.
