We came into the sales room after contemplating an update to our 2013 Focus (to purchase the 2015 model), but had many questions about the wisdom of this decision as well as the particular performance details and features of the new car. Sandra was helpful, friendly, thorough, and extremely adept at making us feel welcome - particularly as we had a young child with us throughout the sales process and this added an extra layer of challenge to - e.g. waiting on different stages of the process to be completed and making him feel included, etc. My impression of Sandra is that she is an effective sales team member who understands how to listen, relate to her client in an authentic manner, as well as how to make the moment of purchase feel like a special and meaningful experience. This is key to the auto sales industry, of course, as well as to many other job sectors, so I expect her skills to serve her very well in the years ahead. The three of us are very grateful to Sandra for the warmth and professionalism she showed us, and we are enjoying our new 2015 Ford Focus very much! Great people who put you first We have always reccomended Dave Faithful and Edie Lange to our friends who were searching for a vehicle. They are a great team and have helped my other half on multiple truck deals. When I started looking for a car last year I had a huge wish list and Dave let us know when there were similar cars on the lot. We decided to wait a year and revisit the car purchase, that didn't bother Dave at all and he called us a week ago to let us know that there was a car that was perfect on the lot, and the best part was it was a 2014 slightly used (12000km) and a great deal. I drove the car and fell in love. While reviewing the specs on the Island Ford website I realized they had just received the 2015 version of the same car. I applied for the financing thru the contact submission form on the web site and received a prompt response to let me know they received my information and we're working on it. Within hours I received the email saying I was approved. We went that night to look at the car in the flesh and it was perfect. I let Dave know I was going to purchase the car, most of our communication was via text or email which is perfect for someone like me with a hectic lifestyle. We arrived to pick the car up and Edie had the paper work done and ready to be signed. Dave and Edie are a great team, they are genuine people who care about your happiness more than the bottom line. The fact that Dave called a year after the fact to let us know there was a car that met all my search criteria speaks to what a wonderful person he is, he is definetly on top of his game. More

Not impressed so far Have just moved to the area from Revelstoke BC, where Jacobson Ford have been looking after my F350 truck since I bought it in 2005. They serviced it Have just moved to the area from Revelstoke BC, where Jacobson Ford have been looking after my F350 truck since I bought it in 2005. They serviced it in April this year just before we moved here and it has been running beautifully. Have just returned from a trip to California and needing an oil change, I took it to Island Ford. They said I needed a computer diagnostic procedure (cost $140) as well as the oil change. They then contacted me with a list of faults such as a front brake that had been overheating and "must have been seized up" to do that, despite having had no trouble whatever with the brakes. The vehicle still pulls up sharply in a dead straight line with no hands on the wheel (cost to replace brake unit $850). The tires are of an unsuitable type, despite having been fitted recently by the Revelstoke Ford main dealer quite recently (cost to replace about $2000). A rear shock absorber is "damaged", though the truck handles just as it always has whilst driving (cost to replace all four shocks over $1000). All plus labour of course, a total of over $4,000. Derren then suggested that it would be much better to buy a new vehicle from them instead of spending $4000 on my present one. Is this sharp practice? Seems like it to me. I am probably going to have them change the brake parts but will insist on having the old parts returned to me for examination. Will report further later.... More
