Slow after sale service and answers So after several weeks of looking at the Ford F150 and Ram 1500, we decided on the F150 eco-boost and found the truck we wanted at Freedom Ford. The So after several weeks of looking at the Ford F150 and Ram 1500, we decided on the F150 eco-boost and found the truck we wanted at Freedom Ford. The big decision was figuring out which truck would give us the best fuel economy (V6 Eco-Boost or V8 Hemi) and finally decided to take a chance on the Eco. Obviously the wrong decision b/c we purchased a 2014 F150 FX4 4x4 S/C with 14,200km and on the way home from Edmonton to North Battleford averaged 15.9L/100KM or 17.8MPG doing 112 KM/H. So, after yet some more research, we found that there are MANY unhappy Eco owners who are also getting crappy mileage BUT there were a couple of things that various ingenius owners had found to help the issue. I e-mailed my salesman to let him know my concerns and ask if he knew if any of these "fixes" indeed did help the fuel economy - and have rec'd no response after 3 days. I also spoke to my father who just drove his 2014 Ram 1500 Hemi 4x4 CrewCab back from Palm Springs, through the mountains at 75MPH and got an avg 11.2 L/100KM!!! 11.2 with a V8 Hemi for God's sake. If FORD is touting these trucks as having the "best in class gas fuel economy on the market" like their ads say - they are lying. My truck's window sticker shows an EPA rating of 30MPG HWY and 20MPG CITY, I understand completely that those are not reasonable numbers, and that the tires on this truck are one size larger (not huge mudders) but neither is getting 1/2 of those numbers. If this indeed is the average that customers can expect then FORD has some serious work to do and should be sued just like Hyundai was this Spring for misleading MPG estimates. We as customers work extremely hard for our dollars and expect that if we spend $40,000 or $60,000 on these trucks that they do what they promise. All I want is a good truck that doesn't break the bank to drive and I was willing to pay for it. Beyond that, if there is something that would help, I expect my salesman to make those inquiries and get back to me within a reasonable time-frame. Thanks. More
Multi-service Appointment I brought my vehicle in to have an oil change, recall inspection, and to have a remote car starter installed. While there was some initial confusion (I wasn't told to bring in both sets of keys but luckily the spare set was a 20 minute drive away) the overall process was smooth and painless. I utilized their shuttle service, having it drop me off downtown and pick me up once my vehicle was ready. That really made my day as I didn't have to worry about arranging alternate transportation. The oil change and recall inspection were done first, then my vehicle was taken to the parts department for the install. When I picked up my vehicle, the parts tech gave me a brief run-down on my remote starter. He mentioned that there was a more detailed explanation (pamphlet) in my vehicle. We went over the basics, and I have to admit I was a tad disappointed when I learned that the 'auxiliary' or 'accessory' wasn't assigned to anything on my car, especially when later that night, after downloading the full manual online, it mentions it can be programmed to turn on the rear defrost. THAT would be awesome! So, overall, the experience was great. I always have a great experience when I go there, which, to be fair, is only since about June. My driver on the ride from downtown was fantastic; had a great chat and made the rush-hour commute tolerable! I don't see myself going anywhere else for service or parts. More

I was introduced to her as my service contact and have always gone back to Freedom Ford and her specifically when I need service. Since the initial purchase we have referred friends and family for multiple vehicles and my wife's Explorer Sport was purchased there as well. I moved to the far West End about 1.5 years ago now and will only take my truck back to Freedom, specifically asking for Roxanne. If it wasn't for her great customer service skills and the others in the Freedom team I would simply have gone to the nearest authorized dealership to me. I personally recommend Freedom for buying new and used and Roxanne for anything to do with service. I love the atmosphere and conversation every time I come for The Works package when getting my truck serviced, it really lightens up my day. Please don't change this awesome attitude and atmosphere in the service department and keep up the awesome work! Just one side note here specifically to www.dealerrater.ca, Roxanne's Last Name field appears to be mistyped; I believe it's "or" not "er". More
