I traded in my Honda Accord and bought a 7 month old pre-owned Camry. The following week I had the service department install new winter tires on the Camry. This was my first experience dealing with D pre-owned Camry. The following week I had the service department install new winter tires on the Camry. This was my first experience dealing with Destination and it was mostly good. My only reason for deducting one star in the rating was because there was a lack of documentation during the negotiation period for the sale. During the price negotiations with the sales person, there were a few items that were to be included and others that were not to be included. Those items were subsequently approved by the sales manager, and a final prices was agreed to. At that time, the sales manager made a hand written note on a scrap of paper showing the final net price of the deal. There was no formal list made of the items agreed to. Soon after, I had to request those items to be included in the final sales agreement document as it was being typed up by another person, who was unaware of the details previously negotiated. I feel that Destination needs to have a more formal procedure to document the details of a sales agreement at the time when it is made; otherwise, as in my case, several items would have been missed in the final documents. All the other stages of the sale proceeded very smoothly, including the installation of the new winter tires by the service department. I shall not hesitate to return to Destination in the future. It's been a difficult decision to write this review. I'm a big fan of Toyota cars in general, but I'm not a fan of how the team at Destination Toyota Burnaby has handled our families situation. I'm not I'm a big fan of Toyota cars in general, but I'm not a fan of how the team at Destination Toyota Burnaby has handled our families situation. I'm not here to tear anyone down, and will not name names, because that is not the purpose of this review. I'm not here to shame anyone, I'm just here to warn unsuspecting customers of what they're getting into when they order a car from this dealership. I ordered a AWD Sienna Hybrid 14 months ago. We were being served by the most senior sales advisor on staff and he cautioned me that it could take a year to receive a car. I said that I was fine with that, knowing about the chip shortage and the shortage of vehicles in general. Throughout the course of the year I checked in 3-4 times to ensure that I was holding my place in line, and continued to share that I had a high quality trade-in ready to go and that I was local to the dealership so they were gaining a valuable customer who would use them for service. I was assured over and over again that I was on the list and my time was coming. To make a very long story short, after 13 months, with no strait answers, I requested a meeting with one of the most senior managers in the entire dealership, and they inform me that I am not on the list for this vehicle, but I am on a "Hand Raiser list". I asked "What is a hand raiser list", they informed me that it was a list where customers have expressed interest in a car, but have not been put on any sort of queue. I informed the Manager that I had a years worth of text messages assuring me that I was on the formal list and that I would be contacted when the vehicle I had selected or something similar landed at the dealership. He said that he was sorry that I had been mislead but there was nothing he could do other than keep me on a list of customers who potentially might be called on if someone backs out of their allotment. When I asked how many people were on that list he said "about 700". Obviously he apologized for the year plus long lie, but said it was out of his control. What I don't understand is WHY LIE to a customer for over a year? What benefit comes from that, then as a manager, why wouldn't you try and honour the word of your most senior sales staff and look for a mutually beneficial solution? How does the no.1 senior sales staff not have the authority to correct a blatant, almost comical lie, and pretend there can be nothing done? What I've learned is at the end of the day, we're all just a number. There is no putting the customer first, because we as a community aren't valued. Destination doesn't need you right now, so they're not even going to try, because there is 700 people waiting in line behind you on this particular vehicle. They are so short on cars that they do not have to consider your best interest, nor do they take accountability for their words or actions, or ultimately desire to see your situation resolved. I was actually admonished by a staff member who said "you should never order a Sienna if you're in a rush to get it". I said, "is it a rush when you're promised a car in roughly 12 months and you call to inquire in month 13 only to find out that you're not even on the list?" It's my fault for trusting my sales advisor who promised me I was on this supposed "list". I trusted their word because of extenuating circumstances that they were under. At the end of the day fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... Destination it's been a tough couple of years on all dealerships, we understand that, but the quality and integrity of a dealership shows through actions over words. I'm sad to say that your words were not truthful and your actions were disappointing. More

On Feb 01, 2023, I sent my Toyota Prius Prime Upgrade for an estimate on the bottom of the vehicle for damages due to car sliding to side of the road. The car was drivable and engine was in good condition. an estimate on the bottom of the vehicle for damages due to car sliding to side of the road. The car was drivable and engine was in good condition. After the inspection and estimate was completed, I noticed there was an error message on the display "Grille Shutter Inoperative." with a malfunction sign and a yellow "i" sign. On opening the hood and vinyl cover, I found a yellow masking tape on the grille shutter assembly. Apparently the mechanic had done some work causing the the shutter to be inoperative. It is annoying to see this display when I drive on the road now. I have tried to call the Body shop today, but was informed they are closed on the weekends. Very disappointed with the estimate. More
From the island and our 2021 Highlander hybrid died in New West. Westminster Toyota was useless ( couldn’t get us in for a month) so that was not going to help so we called Destination and they said they New West. Westminster Toyota was useless ( couldn’t get us in for a month) so that was not going to help so we called Destination and they said they would look at it between jobs. Then they called today and changed their story. If they would have told us yesterday that we couldn’t be helped, we would have tried elsewhere. Garbage service. I remember when Toyota was a great brand. So far less than impressed with the BC dealerships. More
I recently sold my father-in-law’s car through Destination Auto and it was actually an enjoyable experience. Like many I suppose, selling or buying a car can be a bit stressful. This couldn’t have Destination Auto and it was actually an enjoyable experience. Like many I suppose, selling or buying a car can be a bit stressful. This couldn’t have been easier! It’s largely due to Dimitri who was the person handling this used car sale. He was knowledgeable and very thoughtful in dealing with my elderly in-laws. Not only was he courteous but also accommodated their physical limitations. They were very pleased with how well he handled the sale and was very balanced and fair. I couldn’t more highly recommend Destination Auto or Dimitri! More
