On my initial visit, which was simply to pick up a brochure, he took the time to explore my needs and went as far as to take me a drive in a Caravan even though I assured him I wasn't going to buy anything that day. His comment that his time with me was an investment in a potential future sale made a positive impression on me. Rob was confident that we could make a deal sooner, rather than later despite my skepticism. After a few days and armed with additional information, I again met with Rob despite my belief that we would be miles apart when it came to a deal that would work for me. After way too much back and forth to "see his manager" we were able to agree on the figures and I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome and feel, even after sober second thoughts, that I was treated fairly and got good value for my money. The experience was fine in the initial stage before purchasing my '13 Ram 1500, with friendly sales staff and a nice showroom. After signing on the dotted line, it turned sour very quickly. The state purchasing my '13 Ram 1500, with friendly sales staff and a nice showroom. After signing on the dotted line, it turned sour very quickly. The statements below are just some of my issues I encountered will dealing with Crowfoot Dodge May-July 2013). - The sales associated had very little knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in. In fact, do to my extensive research, I showed him many key features that he was unaware of. - Promises of a "no fees" dealership. Ended up charging me $500 for services. - Was charged for security "etching" which was not asked for nor wanted. Charges were reimbursed eventually. - Charged $90 for fuel (95L tank). Again, not asked. As well, I would expect this to be included and believe the truck comes with a 1/4 tank from the factory. - Even after three visits to verify my order of fender flares were correct, they were still not what I wanted and unlike advertised. Several visits were made as I was told they were delivered, only to find out they were not. - After a two month argument with the sales associate and sales manager of the dealership, the cost of the flares was refunded. Even after several earlier indications that my father was also interested in a vehicle and willing to do business, their stubbornness persisted. Four months later my father purchased a new 1500 from Eastside Dodge without issues. - Several minor issues with the truck were noted after delivery which required two separate visits and repairs under warranty. No loner vehicle nor rental was offered or reimbursed. With the selection of dealerships in Calgary and beyond, future vehicle purchases of mine will not be made at Crowfoot Dodge. The experience should be positive, this was certainly not. More
