We weren't going to pick up our new vehicle for a week but with the quick sale of our old car we had our new van within 48 hours with the hitch on and everything!!! Wonderful Experience! I am 81 years of age and hadn't purchased a car for 20 years. As a result, when my nephew and I approached Charlesglen Toyota I was quite nervous. M I am 81 years of age and hadn't purchased a car for 20 years. As a result, when my nephew and I approached Charlesglen Toyota I was quite nervous. My nervousness was partly due to the memories I had when I purchased cars in the past. The salesmen tended to be aggressive, condescending, and gave one the impression they were trying to "rip you off." Well all those feeling quickly dissipated when we met Andrew Fagan, one of the sales representatives at Charlesglen. Andrew was very calm, attentive, and patient. He listened carefully as explained to him what I was looking for in a car then took me around the showroom and out into the lot. While leading me around Andrew explained all the features of each vehicle. Probably due to Andrew's personality I was quickly put at ease and became quite comfortable looking at the various vehicles. Once Andrew and I had settled on a vehicle, he openly offered me all the "deals" that were currently available at Charlesglen. No sales pitch, just a straight forward explanation of everything that was available to me. It was such a nice touch and so contrary to the experiences I had in the past. After I agreed to purchase a vehicle Andrew then directed me to the finance department where I was going to make arrangements for a lease agreement. Being 81, I was not interested in purchasing a car outright at the present time, but wanted the option of purchasing down the road once a lease had expired. The financial person, Wil Cheng, was again a pleasant person to deal with. He took the time to answer all my questions regarding a lease arrangement, told me that all matters regarding such things as registering my car, putting on the license plates, etc. would be taken care of. Leaving Wil's office I just thought to myself, "what a nice fellow," no wonder Charlesglen Toyota has such a good reputation. Once I had my insurance company forward all the relevant documents to Charlesglen, Wil told me that I could come back in a couple of day to pick up the car. When I returned to Charlesglen, the receptionist had me wait until a gentleman by the name of Jim McAlorum arrived. Jim took me down to another floor of showroom where my new car was located. Talk about being detailed, Jim went through all the features of my new car, highlighting major points in the manual. He then took me over to the vehicle and went through all the features found on it from the truck to the engine. What impressed me most about the presentation was how relaxed Jim made me feel. In all my years of purchasing cars it was always the slick salesman who rushed me through the features of the car I was buying. Having Jim take the time to explain everything about the car to me was certainly a nice touch. Jim then took me back up to see Wil where I signed my life away. Actually, it was a straightforward process as Wil explained every document to me in an easy to understand manner. The moment then arrived, I had the keys and exited the showroom to see it. Andrew saw me at the car and quickly came over to ask if there was anything else he could do to help me out. I said nothing except I had forgotten already, remember my age, how to put the car in drive. Okay that point was quickly settled and I was off with the knowledge that I could either phone Charlesglen if I had any questions about the vehicle or could drive back to see someone personally. Oh, I almost forgot, the service department look fantastic, Jim had explained how easy it was to book an appointment. Another nice feature was that Charlesglen has a little café near the service department so you can wait for your car and enjoy a little snack at the same time. I noticed too that the coffee and tea were free which a person of my generation appreciates a lot. So thank you Charlesglen your employees made my experience of buying a new car most enjoyable. More
Very patient and prompt I guess I might have been booked for an hour for test drive etc , I ended up taking almost 3 hours. Very patient staff, answered all our queries. Day of delivery my 2015 Corolla S My delivery was scheduled on the last day of the RED TAG day and we expected a long delivery process. It turned out to be very quick and efficient and My delivery was scheduled on the last day of the RED TAG day and we expected a long delivery process. It turned out to be very quick and efficient and the first person that we met after the reception was Jim McAlorum, the Delivery Coordinator. He explained waht were new to us and it took only 20 minutes together with some paper work and then he drove us up to the street level to meet the finance manager to finish with the lease documents, etc. Since this is not the first Toyota that we have owned but I would definitely come back to Charlesglen Toyota to purchase my next Toyota because of price and the excellent service level. More
