In closing out the deal the business manager Adam explained all of the elements of financing and warranties in a low pressure way. No pressure for any after sale add ons. After the sale, picking up the vehicle was convenient and simple as well. All of the paperwork was ready and Macey took all the time we needed to learn about the many new fetures of the vehicle. I will definitely go back to this dealership for all future vehicle needs. More
Worst Experience By Far! My wife and I were in the market for a 7 passenger SUV. After visiting 2 competitor showrooms we decided to look into the Pathfinder and visited Barri My wife and I were in the market for a 7 passenger SUV. After visiting 2 competitor showrooms we decided to look into the Pathfinder and visited Barrie Nissan. The atmosphere was fine (initially) , we were greeted by the receptionist with a smile, we loved the Pathfinder and decided to make a deal. It went all down hill after that. At time of delivery, the battery died on us at the dealership. Apparently this was because the sales person (Beth) was giving us to long of a demo in the vehicle without the engine started .... 10min didn't sound to long but that was the explanation given to us by Harris (sales manager). Next thing to happened was the hood latch wasn't engaging properly after someone charged the battery up for us. What was apparently a quick fix took 2 mechanics + Harris watching frantically working to fix the problem nearly 30 min .... at this point I told Harris (sales manager) I was not going to take the SUV ..... Harris' response , "the deal is signed , regardless , we stand behind our product , if you have any issues what so ever bring the truck back and we will look after you ... you purchased a warranty anyways ($2400 +HST )". (We already signed the paperwork and I already handed over a certified cheque for nearly $30,000.) What was supposed to be an exciting experience for my family has now turned into a nightmare. 3 hours later , a very cranky 1.5 year old , car seat and belonging already transferred and Harris' word... Against our better judgement we took the truck home. 2 days later I called to make a service appointment .... surprise surprise the hood latch was not engaging properly, alignment was off , fog light was out, tear in the side wall of one of the tires and breaks needed to be done . When I arrived Beth didn't seem to recognize me and Harris couldn't /wouldn't make eye contact with me and I was "handed over" to the service manager. During the introduction I mentioned to Harris and to the Service manager that even though I don't drive the truck to often (we had it for about a week or two at this point and the main purpose of the truck is for my wife to transport my soon to be two children) on top of everything else the breaks don't seem to be doing their job as well as I expected and the tear in the side wall of the tire is a concern considering the size of the truck and who it will be transporting). Their response "Joe , it's a new truck to you , it will take some getting use to and the records show the breaks were serviced at time of safety inspection. As for the tear in the tire, someone must of rubbed up against a curb.... we will have it looked at" .... the tear in the tire was looked at and I was told there is no need to be concerned as it's within tolerance (there were no markings on the tire indicating running against a curb not to mention I only had the truck one or two days before calling Harris and mentioning it to him. All I can do it take there professional opinion and move on. The alignment was addressed and I raised the question .... wouldn't this have been addressed at time of safety ? Answer: it was very slight adjustment needed. The fog light was addressed .... I asked again , wouldn't his have been addressed at time of safety ? Answer : it could have burned out the day after you took delivery. (really??) Latch in hood was addressed and again I asked, wouldn't this have been addressed at time of safety ? Answer: rust proofing caused the problem. Brakes were not addressed . Harris went above the call of duty and pulled up the safety service record and assured me the brakes were serviced prior to delivery of the SUV . Fast forward to today . After dropping my truck off at Newmarket Nissan last week and finding out that my truck required a new transmission ($4000+HST) and a convertor on my exhaust ($2000+HST ) thankfully covered by warranty! I also found out that my truck needs brakes all around ($ 2500 + HST) and a common repair of the rear hatch that in labour and parts would cost $200+HST plus the cost of paint ..... I was told it could be easily $4000 in repairs .... additional to the $6000 of warranty work already completed...... 7 months and 19,000 km later after purchasing the SUV from Barrie Nissan . After raising my concerns about the so called "safety inspection" and needing brakes to the General Manager , Doug Ross he has offered to do a FREE brake inspection. I made him aware that the brake inspection has already been completed by Newmarket Nisssan and that they highly suggested that all my brakes be replaced. His emailed reply read : "At this point I believe we are going to agree to disagree. Enjoy your Pathfinder." Consumer Beware! Take your hard earned money elsewhere! More

The truck itself is missing a few features I thought it would have, but thats not the fault of the team at Barrie Nissan, but NISSAN themself trying to save a buck. We also found Cindy in parts to be very helpfull and friendly. Thanks Tom More
