Hello Joe, Barrie Nissan wishes to Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others. We are also thankful to have this forum to communicate what actually transpired- giving a prospective reader both sides to one individual’s experience. To discuss your many grievances: Beth completed the delivery of your Pathfinder inside our drive-thru, away from the wintry weather. As the engine was not running indoors, batteries can lose their charge and consequently require a boost. As Beth and Harris pointed this out to you, no further issues transpired (to our knowledge) regarding your battery… A 10-minute drive generally has the alternator restore the charge. When the Pathfinder was rustproofed and detailed, some of the fluid made its way into the latch and Barrie Nissan did agree to repair or replace the faulty cable. After the vehicle was driven home and in the client’s possession for 5-7 days: A complaint ominously surfaces regarding the tire sidewall & alignment. As Barrie Nissan endeavors to accommodate all our clients… An alignment and inspection of the tire was performed at a time of your choosing and at no cost to you. At no time would any Barrie Nissan personnel make a service patron feel unwelcome. Harris did in-fact assist with the inspection and also invited you back to the hoist, enabling you to verify the safety of your family’s vehicle. Barrie Nissan does agree on one observation made… We too are grateful that an extended warranty was selected at time of sale! Nissan’s ASP (extended coverage) is an invaluable resource to assist with the increasing costs of vehicle repairs. Notwithstanding, warranties are not designed to cover, or replace parts worn over the course of regular usage spanning approximately 19,000 kilometres. Items such as light bulbs, brake pads and tires wear slightly with each use until their inevitable replacement. This is merely the cost of owning and operating a vehicle in our vast and taxing Canadian climates. As numerous phone calls were both made and promptly returned: It would not appear that Barrie Nissan be able to rectify or appease your concerns unless each component (and service) was offered completely free of charge! Barrie Nissan is appreciative for the time taken by our reviewers to share their experience & reminds our clients to always drive with care!
