I was in for a service on my 2019 Honda CRV, Jan. 17/23. All was well until I received a call from service advisor Jody Potrie. Mr. Potrie advised me of the fact my tires were all below the legal lim 17/23. All was well until I received a call from service advisor Jody Potrie. Mr. Potrie advised me of the fact my tires were all below the legal limit of 3.5 mm tread depth and that I would need new tires and a wheel alignment and would I agree to his recommendation. I was taken off guard with this info as the tires have only 44000 km on them and said no to which he replied "then I will be advising on the service invoice that your vehicle is unsafe to be on the road. This reaction caught me by surpise and seemed like a scare tactic. After leaving Bannister Honda I stopped at a tire shop and asked them to check my tire tred depth, front tires 4.0 mm rear tires 3.5 mm just at the legal limit, they suggested I should be looking at tire replacement soon to which I replied OK , please install new tires and do a wheel alignment. Had your your service advisor been more customer friendly and explained the problem in a more professional way rather than, I'm going to document this vehicle is not road safe! when booking appointment I advised that issue with block heater (didn't work) paid 1 hour for them to tell me the same thing, was advised that they didn't have part but would have it in a day or so. As I didn't hear back from them I phoned to confirm, which I got passed back and forth from service department to parts department, seems odd that I had to check with their parts department would have thought that was what the service department would have done. Once the part was in and booked appointment to get replaced, upon receiving my bill I was billed for 2 hours labour (1 for the initial inspection and 1 for the replacement), was not happy about the initial hour billed as when I booked and brought in the vehicle we advised that wasn't the plug that was the issue.
