Sierra was a phenomenal sales person; very knowledgeable and straightforward. Refreshing to have someone that knows the cars well without having to push a sale. Two years ago, I purchased a Honda Certified used vehicle from this dealership, a 2017 Honda Odyssey Van. Since that time our van has broken down and had to be towed 3 times. We received such terrible custo from this dealership, a 2017 Honda Odyssey Van. Since that time our van has broken down and had to be towed 3 times. We received such terrible customer service from this dealership that we went out of our way to Penticton Honda to get our van serviced and fixed. On December 14, 2022 our van broke down and was towed to Bannister Honda, against our better judgement. For 6 1/2 weeks, the dealership continued to tell us different stories about what was going on with our van. My husband and I both work full time, and we have two young children and WE were left to contact/hound Bannister to figure out what was going on with the van, as they did not see it as a priority to let us know what was going on. Finally, on Jan 5, we were told that our extended warranty through Honda Canada had approved a new engine and that we should be hearing in the next 3-5 days about the plan to put the engine in our van. We waited. And waited. Bannister then called to let us know, we would not be getting new engine that they told us our warranty had approved and already sent in the mail but they had already started work on another job- removing the heads and re-routering them. The Operations Manager told me that 99.9% of the time the fix works. When asked about why we were not receiving the new engine as previously promised, he said that Honda Canada had changed the plan. On January 24, we FINALLY got our van back. I was not surprised when, on Monday January 30, while driving with my children on the highway all of the dashboard lights lit up, with a FCW System Failure Warning flashing on the screen. After taking it back to Bannister Honda, we were told of other 'issues' that were occurring. I am left wondering, if they had the van for a month, why did they not check everything to see what the issue was. Is there not a checklist of things that the mechanics do when a vehicle comes in? My husband was told we are to drive the van until that error code comes up again and then bring it in. I do not feel comfortable driving this van with my children in it, just waiting for it to break down again. Every time I tried or my husband tried to express our concerns about what was happening with the van, it felt that we were brushed off and the techs/operation manager couldn't wait to get us off the phone. I actually had to ask the operations manager Jack, to stop cutting me off while I was expressing these concerns to him. We are left feeling like neither Bannister Honda nor Honda Canada was willing to help us in this situation. We worked very hard to save up and purchase this van from Bannister Honda, and since the day we have driven it off the lot it has had nothing but issues. I feel like I spent $30,000 on an unreliable vehicle (the reason we bought this van was so that I had a safe/reliable car to drive my young family around in). Every time this van has broken down, I have had my children with me. Bannister Honda was neither pleasant or welcoming. I guess they don't care about the quality of their customer service when you purchase a used vehicle from them. We have certainly seen this first hand. We are now left wondering what to do? Who can we go to for help? More
