I had 2 other similarly priced choices at other dealers but Keegan and his sales manager were friendly and went the distance to offer me a fair trade in value on my newer Honda thru an affiliated Honda dealer. Their trade offer was significantly higher than other dealers I approached and this sealed the deal. Also the car had not been fully detailed yet, so they allowed me a better deal upon my request to complete the work myself. All in all a friendly, straight forward, accommodating and fair transaction that stood out from other dealers I had contacted. More

Horrible This is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They are unethical and basically a bunch of crooked liars. I paid almost $50,000.00 for a car This is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. They are unethical and basically a bunch of crooked liars. I paid almost $50,000.00 for a car that was suppose to be safetied. They never even safetied it at their place because they knew this car wouldn't pass with the brakes they way they were. So they drove it to another place off premises to have it cheaply done and pushed through. I took it to two different dealership when I got the car out of storage because it is a summer car and I bought it in the winter and they both said the brakes were no good. I have since spent $7,000.00 on this car to get it in safe and working order and Barrie Autohaus is ignoring me and refuses to stand behind their sale. Stay away from this place. I wish I had read some of the reviews here before I made the purchase. It could have saved me a lot of expenses. They don't care about people they just care about getting your hard earned money. I see you recently the General Manager that I have been dealing with is not working there any more. Probably got fired. I can see why. More

Sales and Service I have had my 2011 Audi Q-5 serviced from time to time at the Barrie dealership where I bought the car. I have not had any issues with the sales peopl I have had my 2011 Audi Q-5 serviced from time to time at the Barrie dealership where I bought the car. I have not had any issues with the sales people or the quality of service for my Audi. The staff have always been good to deal with. Most recently I had a transmission problem due to defective filters in the transmission. The repair done under warranty with upgraded parts was completed promptly given the size of the job and without any issues. More

Waiting I'm waiting to give this dealership a chance to fix all my concerns before I make a final judgement. The car I bought from them is in storage until Sp I'm waiting to give this dealership a chance to fix all my concerns before I make a final judgement. The car I bought from them is in storage until Spring right now. I bought it from them in the winter and has not been driven yet. So far I am not impressed with the way I was treated and I spent a lot of money there. So far my biggest concern was that I paid them cash in full upfront but they kept putting me of on letting me have the car with a bunch of excuses. I had asked for certain things to be done to the car and most were ignored even thought they promised it would all be done.. They only did one small thing. Then when I finally get the car with broken promises I find out someone had been driving it around and put an extra 300 kilometres on the car in the snow with salt covered roads. Not cool as this car was advertised that it had never seen snow or winter weather. I should have just walked away from the deal but I really liked the car so took it. Now I have to wait for them to make good on their promises for work that was never done. But one thing they can't fix is driving my paid for car in the snow and salt. More

Bad dealership. Good cars just don't service there. I am a mechanic and aircraft engineer so I get a kick out of crappy VW techs and creepy sales guys. This dealership has to be the worse I have dealt with. Every time I go in there it seems like half a dozen kids wandered in with their ball caps on and started working there. The kind of kids that don't bend their ball caps like it matters. If you own a TDI of any sort take it somewhere else. There are several indenpendent shops in the area. If they say they have to replace the turbo (2000$) or the EGR (700$) plus labour their lying. Well that and their techs only replace parts. Gone are the days of fixing. I am not ranting. This is all true. Look at the other reviews. You can't write this crap. I have several VW's The oldest is a 2001 Golf TDI. Can't kill this car. I am sure Barrie VW could but its going on 450000 and still original turbo, EGR, injectors and haven't touched the engine. Sadly the dealerships only want to sell you new cars and expensive service. They don't want to even provide parts for my 2001. Its a shame this dealership gives VW a very bad name. Deal with Alliston or Orillia VW instead. Or shop around at other makes. Think about and review the dealership before you buy any car. More
