Mr. Tang our sales person was also very helpful in giving us information on the Pacifica, all features, recommendations, all available roadside services in case of vehicular problems. From the onset I indicated this would be a cash sale. However, the sales rep asked if I'd consider financing and paying the interest for a few months because he gets a higher compensation for financed d However, the sales rep asked if I'd consider financing and paying the interest for a few months because he gets a higher compensation for financed deals. I gracefully declined. After we agreed on a price, a critical item that was to be included was mysteriously 'forgotten' by the rep. I pointed out the omission when the contract was presented for signature. The sales manage was not aware of the omission and said there's no room left in the deal to include it at this point. We finally came to an agreement by splitting the difference but it did cost me substantially more. I returned to the dealer to pick up the vehicle the next day at the agreed time. The finance person had another client in his office at the time but came out to say he'd be right with me ASAP. The couple eventually came out of the office. But, in lieu of me going in to complete the deal and leave with the vehicle, a prospective buyer was shuttled into his office and the door closed. By this time I was left sitting in the middle of the showroom alone for a couple more hours. I'd had it. I was ready to reclaim my deposit, cancel the transaction and leave. It appears my priority became nil because I had already committed. So I sat holding the cheque and waiting. It was pathetic. Eventually I got up and found someone to tell me why they xxxx I was still waiting. The gentleman appeared to be quite embarrassed, realizing the poor judgement exercised by the finance guy and immediately took care of me. it took him about 5 minutes to complete the transaction and get me on the way. But I was there for a total of 4 hours to give my cheque and leave with the vehicle. That was about the worst dealer experience I've ever had. More
