Extremely Unprofessional and Unethical Experience – Buyer Beware
I recently visited Oakville Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM to purchase an Audi e-tron GT after working with a sales agent, Ankur, who was excellent throughout — professional, responsive, and helpful. We agreed on a $51,500 trade-in value for my Jeep Wrangler 4XE 2023 with 20,400 kms (Paid $85K 2 years ago), and all terms were clearly confirmed in advance, including pricing, documentation, and a scheduled test drive.
On the day of my appointment (the first week of September 2025), I:
Test drove the vehicle
Paid a $3,000 deposit
Reviewed all documentation (including the Carfax)
Signed the Bill of Sale Terms and Conditions
Provided my Ownership Docs for my Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4XE
During the process, Brandon and Ankur noticed the Audi e-tron GT was missing winter mats. They went online, shared a couple of options with me, and Brandon assured me they would cover the cost.
Everything seemed ready to go, and I was told the deal was only pending the manager’s final signature.
However, after waiting for over 10 minutes with no explanation, I found the financial advisor casually chatting with four members of management. I was then abruptly told they would not honour the agreed-upon trade-in value, attempting to reduce it by $4,000 on the spot — despite having already signed documents and paid a deposit.
This was not only unprofessional, it was deceptive and unethical. I immediately requested my deposit back and left the dealership.
While I do want to acknowledge Ankur's professionalism, the behaviour of the management was completely unacceptable. I spent over 5 hours travelling to and from the dealership and at the dealership itself, not including the time spent on countless communications beforehand.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I am considering multiple options to rectify this absolutely horrible experience:
File complaints with OMVIC
Begin proceedings with CAMVAP
Contact Stellantis Head Office
Consider Small Claims Court
Put a review online based on my experience
To make matters worse, Jason, one of the managers, requested I can through the sales agent, Ankur the following day through Ankur. He tried to explain that they had made a mistake, thinking it was a different Jeep. This was absurd, given that they had my Jeep’s VIN and over two dozen photos of it. His excuses were weak and unconvincing. Then, during the call, he said, “I have a customer at my door, I’ll need to let you go.”
I gave them three days to provide a resolution that I felt was fair and reasonable. To date, I have yet to hear back.
Jason even had the audacity to tell me that it was "not fair" to leave a poor review based on my experience, which I found comical given how horrible the situation was. He went on to say he would deny any wrongdoing, further frustrating me as he apologized on the one hand and contradicted himself on the other.
I strongly advise others to avoid Oakville Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. A handshake and a signed agreement should mean something — clearly, at this dealership, they don’t. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone based on their unethical practices.
