Downtown Chrysler: A Monument to Terrible Service
Downtown Chrysler has pushed me to my limits, and it's high time I share my excruciating experiences to warn others about the abyss of customer service incompetence.
My first taste of their ineptitude was a previous visit when I brought my vehicle in for a "Daytime Running Light Out" warning, along with an overdue oil change. To my dismay, when I picked up the car, the warning light still taunted me, as if the mechanics had simply ignored it. Moreover, they failed to reset the oil usage, so I continued to receive overdue oil change alerts despite the recent service.
My latest ordeal with this wretched establishment began on Tuesday, September 5th, when I called to book an appointment for yet another warning light, this time concerning the shifter. I brought my vehicle in the next day, and by Thursday morning, they informed me that they needed to order a part. To add insult to injury, they casually mentioned my car might not be ready for the weekend, leaving me stranded. In response, I requested a courtesy vehicle or a rental. They assured me it would be arranged.
Friday rolled around, and my assigned service advisor mysteriously disappeared, ignoring my inquiries about the courtesy vehicle. Frustrated and desperate for transportation for my birthday weekend, I reluctantly rented a car myself.
It took a whole week for them to return my vehicle to me on Wednesday, September 13th. While the service manager apologized and promised to refund my rental fees, another week passed without a word from Downtown Chrysler. I left messages for the elusive service manager, only to be met with silence. When I finally reached him, he cited personal issues as an excuse for his negligence, conveniently overlooking my predicament. Once again, he pledged to refund my rental fees promptly.
Another Friday came, and with no refund in sight, I escalated my complaint to the General Manager, who, after expressing his remorse for their failures, pledged to expedite my refund. He assured me that I would receive it within a few days.
A torturous week elapsed, and I grew weary of waiting. When I contacted them, the GM claimed that Finance had reached out to obtain my banking information for a direct deposit. I informed him they failed to do so. I had had enough and refused to disclose any financial details. Instead, I demanded a physical check. As of now, they allege said check is on its way, but given Downtown Chrysler's track record, I won't hold my breath.
In conclusion, I implore you, under no circumstances, to entrust Downtown Chrysler with your service business. Their incompetence knows no bounds, and they certainly don't deserve your patronage. Regarding reviews, they owe me stars for my extraordinary patience in not sharing this nightmare sooner.
