Something at Boyer stinks. - Bart
Something at Boyer stinks.
A customer relationship is complex.
Scratch that ! No, it is NOT.
Stellantis/Chrysler has a core service philosophy focused on customer
satisfaction through courtesy, commitment, assistance, devotion.
Respect. Trust. Enjoy.
But NOT at Boyer.
My most recent customer service experience will cost them my
membership in the Ram family.
And the Operations Manager completely burnt the bridge with
My teen daughter is just beginning her Trades career.
My daughter graduated at 17; got an apprenticeship; and bought
her first truck, a used Ram at 18.
She got a 6" ProComp lift professionally installed, new chrome
wheels, and 35" tires.
A new lift and tires require a professional alignment.
Her truck had a recall (I will follow up on the feedback on that separately).
So while it was at Boyer, does the alignment
build a customer relationship? They charged her $500 for alignment.
Five (5) months later, my daughter says something is wrong with
The truck; it shakes, and is hard to control.
I see why; the front tires are toed in like an old tractor.
The insides of the brand new tires are down to the wear bars,
the outsides perfect. Clearly an alignment issue.
Here is where the story goes downhill ::
I go back to the dealer; BOYER
and I politely, calmly, and professionally speak with GM and Ops Mgr.
I tell them the history and ask what "we" can do for her,
suggesting the dealer replace the tires destroyed by faulty alignment.
the GM suggests an investigation to determine the cause,
and at the very least comp an alignment.
I reluctantly agree. But say It is YOUR REPUTATION.
Do what you think is best.
I awaken to a call the next day.
It is the Boyer service desk;
the service manager says the truck is ready
. Do you want to know the bill
It is $500 dollars. I told her I am on my way in.
At the dealer, I discuss with the Ops Mgr.
He says the bill is now zero for all the work done.
Even on the bill, the technician acknowledges that there
is NO SUSPENSION damage; everything is tight.
The only thing required to do is the Alignment.
the OPs. Mgr. says we are NOT buying you tires.
And I can NOT guarantee
this alignment for even a week.
Even though nothing else has been found to be faulty;
ONLY THE ALIGNMENT previously completed by BOYER.
Why burn the bridge of a new TradesWoman joining the workforce ?
A girl who will no doubt be purchasing 5-10 trucks in her future.
I guess just not RAM trucks. AND NOT from Boyer.
Why would you risk damaging YOUR reputation over $1000 bucks ?
@$300 for her diesel oil changes and $500 alignment charges,
a RESPECTABLE DEALER will easily get that back tenfold.
GoodBye Stellantis.
