Travelling through the area on vacation and had an issue - gjtravellers

Travelling through the area on vacation and had an issue with no AC on my F150 truck and trailer brake issue. With time constraints, had the dealership spend 3 hours to diagnose my problem. With a large bill and still no AC or trailer brake fault corrected, I left the dealership, only to discover that the tech did not put the fuse panel cover back on nor close other wiring covers. Contacted service manager and was told he would call back after tech was back at work. The tech said brake issue must be my trailer as he set the brake gain higher and everything works. The tech does not understand the trailer brake gain setting is determined by the size and weight of the trailer being towed. I connected my trailer to other trucks and brake control works fine. I connected my truck to another trailer at the campsite and immediately truck indicates Trailer Brake Fault. Four days later and no return call. Cannot believe the service manager would not immediately provide a solution to rectify this problem, or at least reimburse for the missing part and incorrect diagnosing of the trailer brake fault issue. I am back home on Vancouver Island and will now have to get proper service diagnostics completed and purchase a missing fuse panel cover.

Avoid this dealership. They will ruin your 50k new vehicle before you even put 1 km on it. Sales experience absolutely terrible. -lack of proper paperwork -Requested paint protection film and instead they ceramic coated my car without approval. Due to this mix up I had to request a refund for the paint film a month after sale. The salesman excuse was I forgot about you. Salesman tried to rip me off and refund less than was paid. Service experiences was worse. Poorly installed accessory was damaging my doors. The first attempt at repair was a rush job and a joke. They decided messing up my door alignment instead of addressing the actual issues. 2nd attempt they failed to line up the accessories. The parts come with an installation template. Driver and passenger parts are installed at uneven heights on car. Very amateur quality work from this dealership. Also paint damage on the door for them removing the parts They still owe me paint repairs. Kevin Dowd you are failing at your responsibilities Thanks Mid-town for messing up my car.

We bought a used a vehicle that had a pre existing tuner that had been installed by Rhineland Ford. We had constant issues with "no-start" and this truck was a truck used for our business. Each time we would have to tow 1.5 hours to this dealership because the installation of this tuner voided the warranty that we had. No other Ford dealership would look at it. Every time we had an issue, they would act like we were such an inconvenience to THEM! So after the third or fourth time, Joe in service got very rude and said that for $200 he would remove the tuner and return it to stock. We brought it in, paid the cash, and left believing that it was completely removed. A couple weeks later we were having issues and took it to a closer service centre where they indicated that the tuner was still hooked up to the vehicle. We called Joe in service and he argued that is was out, then backpedaled when we told him we had it at another service centre and they were saying it wasn't. He then indicated that it was left in so we could monitor the gauges. He then told me to take it out myself and then hung up on me (not the first time). I then asked the current service person to talk to the owner regarding this issue. I called the owner, Mia, regarding her speaking to the current service person, and she told me it had been removed. I said it hadn't and that I have photos of it still hooked up. She asked me why 3 hours would be charged to me if they hadn't removed it? I said that's what I would like to know. She said she was "done with this" and then she hung up on me. The current service guy was completely shocked at their workmanship and customer service behaviour. These tuners are not covered by Ford so why are they installing them? The worst service I have EVER experienced!

Airbag replacement recall on my Mustang. Made appointment and was done in less than an hour. Vickar dealership in Winnipeg said it would take up to 4 hours! If your time is valuable, bring your service needs to Steeltown.

Had a major break down traveling through town. They were as accommodating and very helpful. I was able to get the parts needed and repaired enough to get back moving again. Couldn't have broken down near a friendlier ford dealership. Thanks again!
