We bought a 2022 Sierra AT4, everything started well until we decided to buy the truck. Once we made a deposit and made plans to sign paperwork we were told we could not pick up the truck because the he until we decided to buy the truck. Once we made a deposit and made plans to sign paperwork we were told we could not pick up the truck because the headlights did not work. ( this was a known issue with GM that could have been disclosed and fixed before we gave a deposit. ) Then the sales person would not send us a copy of the bill of sale (prior to signing) to review fees and pricing before taking time from work to drive 1.5 hrs. Once we finally got there to sign paperwork, no paperwork was done up, they told us we could come back another day to sign when the trucks lights were fixed. They did provide a loaner vehicle for the week it took to get the truck lights fixed. When we went to pick up the truck we were given one set of keys for the truck and one for a different vehicle, which we did not notice until we got home. We then had to pay to send the wrong keys back to them. Now the cell phone charging pad does not work (since the day we picked it up) and have been told 3 times to bring the truck in to get looked at and fixed. Just to be told twice that they did not know what was wrong and then today that it is a known issue and there is no fix. Hands down the worst new vehicle purchase we have had in over 20 years. More
Nice enough dealership, our mistake was doing our deal online as we were 2 1/2 hours away. After looking at several dealerships on line for a GMC Canyon we found one listed in our price range and was a 4 online as we were 2 1/2 hours away. We showed our interest in a Canyon truck that was advertised and got a standard reply from the dealership. When it came to asking for a final price quote for our impending purchase we were shocked to see it was over $2,000.00 more than we were expecting???? We were told by the salesman it included a special warranty program the dealership includes in All deals at their location???? We were Not impressed with his response but still wanted to pursue the potential purchase this vehicle… we decided to drive to Red Deer and talk to a GM dealership there. We were told by the salesman there he had nothing available in a Canyon with the price and features that we wanted. This sales rep was so straight up with us we then showed him the offer sheet from Wolfe for his opinion on what he saw presented to us, that is when he informed us the Special Warranty FEE was Definitely an OPTIONAL add on…. and if we didn’t want it we could certainly decline it.. even though it was not communicated that way from the Wolfe dealership… With that info in hand we connected with your salesman once again who told us he would have to get Authorization from the sales manager to see if he could remove it from our offer??? He called back saying he had good news that the Special Warranty would be removed!! We agreed to purchase the Canyon out right no financing. After arriving to pick up the Canyon we paid for it and were told we just needed to wait for the registration paperwork to be ready… after several minutes the salesman said we could head back home and they would send the registration in the mail.. which we agreed and left.. We get home and receive an email saying we still owed $93.00 for the registration? We were not made aware we owed this while at the dealership as we would have paid it then and there if they had bothered to communicate this to us as we were paying for the truck. We sent our credit card info and once the payment was cleared we received a copy of the registration.. We are not saying the registration Didn’t need paid!!! It was the lack of communication to us while we were at the dealership that bothered us the most. We figured our almost $48,000.00 purchase paid in full was for everything owing included!! The finance lady explained to us what the fee was for but we still found it strange for them not to tell us that because it could have been added to the amount we had already paid! We were super cautious with what the dealership wanted especially after the Optional Warranty was added without our consent and then having to have another dealership verify we could Decline the Extra Warranty cost!!
