I came alone to test drive some cars with my two small kids. Carter was super patient with me being on the fence between two cars and made my girls feel welcome and entertained them while I was on the phone with my husband discussing what to do. Nicole got the payment that I found acceptable and made sure to explain everything to us I'm pleased that my experience has been just as good as my mom's and would absolutely buy from Winnipeg Kia again. He found us the exact car we wanted even though we thought we'd have to wait for more to come in. That was a great surprise as I was wanting a certain color. This is our first Kia and we were impressed with the high end features and appearance of the vehicle. Love the new design and you can tell their new "designers" come from high end brands. I would recommend Mike Shaw to anyone looking for a great buying experience. If you can't get him, the other sales people seemed great and energetic as well. Just make sure you have the time to test drive, make a deal and register the car as it is a process. More
Unbeleivable!! I bought a used KIA 2 weeks ago. First time KIA buyer (loyal Toyota and Scion customer 10 years). I was looked after great by sales staff when I bou I bought a used KIA 2 weeks ago. First time KIA buyer (loyal Toyota and Scion customer 10 years). I was looked after great by sales staff when I bought the car and sent in a wonderful review regarding that experince. The only thing wrong about it was that one of the 2 remote starter fobs did not work when i arrived to pick up the car. An appointment was scheduled with service to have the fob reprogrammed. Today, I drive 40 minutes to the dealer, I live at the far east side of the city. 10am is my appointment and the vehicle goes in a short while later. I wait. Finally at 11:30 I am informed that they could not complete the reprogramming due to some issue. When I ask why I am told that I can talk to a tech who can explain it to me and we walk to the counter and no tech ever shows up. I mentioned again that it seemed really long to program a fob, which was not even completed in the 90 minutes I had been there. Up to this point I was dealing with a young lady who's name I do not recall. I say to her "I thought a tech was going to talk to me"? At this point Sean Voyer the service manager enters the conversation and informs me that due to some modules that need to be reset or programmed, and codes needed for this procedure that it could not be done as that part of kia is closed. I tell him that I understand that and explain that I am extremely frustrated that after purchasing the car I had to come, not only today, which is 40 minutes each way for me as well as 90 minutes at the dealer, and now I need to spend another half a day trying to get this corrected again next week! I explained that first of all, this should have been checked before the car was released to me, and yes it should have, then I would not have to be there today, and then again next week, driving 40 minutes each way and said "understand that this is a huge inconvence to me", I do not have a lot of spare time to do this. His repy was that it was "an inconvenience to the service tech". Seriously???? I was flabergasted!! And I told him so!! The service tech is getting paid to do the work!! Inconvenienced?? Wow!! Correct me if I am wrong?.. Just like Sean was being paid to be at the dealer today, the only person not being paid to be there was me. In fact, it was costing me money in gas to drive 40 minutes to and from the dealer each time to correct something that should have been caught before the vehicle ever left the dealer!!! I told him I thought I should be reimbursed for the gas that I am burning for something that they failed to check. Of course I was not reimbursed, but later was offered a free oil change that I will probably never use as I would hate to "inconvenience " the service dept by giving them work to do that they are getting paid for. Seriously?? Wow!! I have spent 20 years in a face to face customer service industry and I found his way to try and put a spin on this shameful. This is my first KIA service experience, and it will likely be my last......not because the tech couldn't complete his job without the proper codes......no, it was Sean's way of tring to make it look like they were the one's being inconvenienced by my vehicle.... and the work that should have been performed before I received it. I guess once the sale is made.............KIA is really not concerned about the customer any longer. Thats really too bad, I really liked Yemmi who sold me the car and thought he might be selling my wife her next car,but after today, she is leaning towards staying with Toyota and the wonderful service and consideration we were always given there.
