Although the vehicle had just came in the day before, Rob was able to quickly locate all paperwork, and history on the car. The sales office and service dept worked very had to get the vehicle ready, and in a relatively short period of time had the car ready to go. The whole experience was painless, as both Rob in Sales, and David in the business office were incredibly easy to work with, laid back and truly seemed to value the business. If you're looking for a good environment to purchase a car, with everyone being very straight forward, and without the traditional "shady car dealership feeling" the team at White Rock VW, will make the experience a pleasant one. Worst vehicle purchase ever! Show up after a 4 hour drive to pick up my new car. Sales wants another $40 and an appointment to install my winter tires. Im out in the parking lot i Show up after a 4 hour drive to pick up my new car. Sales wants another $40 and an appointment to install my winter tires. Im out in the parking lot installing all by myself in the wet blowing snow while all staff stay inside and ate pizza. WOW! Dealership was completely dead, no other customers anywhere so you would think they would just install them as part of the deal as a good will gesture since they had nothing else to do. Mats that were promised were sold to someone else instead of being put in my car when the deal was done, was almost given wrong color paint pen. Salesman didn't even give me a tour of my new car. Heres the keys thats it, not even bothering to leave the showroom. I didn't even drive it! No help with any set up. Couldn't even put his own business card in the manual (still had original selling dealer cards). Heres what $950 of non negotiable xx fees and paying full sticker price gives you. The only thing that was done right was the fact the license plates were put on. What a JOKE of a place. Save yourself and go somewhere else no matter what where you will not be treated like dirt. Don't even deserve 1 star! Update: I received a reluctant call from the GM 20 days later. No apology, just made things even worse. Even stated that everything should have been ok because I was offered a slice of pizza. xxx! Customer is ALWAYS wrong here! More

When we started looking around we ended up not finding anything at this dealership but the staff were so helpful in finding us a car, they got one from another dealership for us for less than the other location was asking! They even detailed it better than it was sitting at the other dealership. Fantastic experience. More
Pleasant experience all around! I found this review site after having such a positive experience at this VW dealership that I felt the need to pass my opinion on. My experience could I found this review site after having such a positive experience at this VW dealership that I felt the need to pass my opinion on. My experience could not be more polar opposite than some of the opinions expressed here. I purchased my VW Golf Sportwagen from GoldKey in Langley where I was also pleased with the friendly no pressure buying experience. Although I was pleased with my first service at GoldKey I was finding it difficult with my busy schedule to coordinate my second service, My first service took quite some time 4+ hours. When I called to try and get an appointment they were booked and usually book a week ahead I was told. I live in Whiterock so it made sense to give this dealership a call to see if they could squeeze me in. Every interaction with the staff at Whiterock VW was outstanding. My call to book the appointment started the exemplary customer service where I was greeted by a very polite woman who took all of my details and was exceedingly friendly, When I arrived for my appointment at the service department, I met with Gavin who was just as friendly and thorough. We walked out to my vehicle and discussed all of the details of the service and exchanged some friendly conversation. He was very pro active at ensuring that the shuttle driver be informed of my need for a ride home while the service to my car was being performed. The shuttle driver was a pleasant younger gentleman also very polite and a great advocate for the VW brand as we enjoyed some relaxed conversation about cars as he drove my Wife and I home. I was later greeted by telephone by Gavin to let me know that my service was complete and that he would be sending the shuttle driver back to pick me up at home. Another pleasant drive back with the shuttle driver. My car was parked right out front and I was greeted by Gavin at the service department inside. He thoroughly explained the work that was done on my vehicle. The price seemed fair given the number of items inspected, work done and the time spent. I was escorted over to the desk for payment where I was greeted by another equally friendly member of the team for payment. The whole experience was some of the best customer service that I have received in recent memory. I can offer only my highest recommendation of this dealership and its friendly and professional staff. All I can say is that the demeanor of all of the staff seemed natural and unforced and that everyone here seems to enjoy their work and it is reflected in their disposition. Loving my new car and happy to know that I can bring it to a place where the people take pride in their work. Thank you! More
THERE ARE LOTS OF VW DEALERSHIPS - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE We recently purchased a 2012 Tiguan from White Rock VW - our 3rd VW in the past 10 years; first and last from White Rock VW! Our sales experience was We recently purchased a 2012 Tiguan from White Rock VW - our 3rd VW in the past 10 years; first and last from White Rock VW! Our sales experience was great, but everything started to do downhill from the moment we picked up our vehicle. A large chip in the windshield, which we were assured would be filled (to be invisible) was still there upon delivery. We were informed that there simply wasn't enough room in the profit to fix it. Within 2 days we noticed squeaking brakes and a very sluggish gearing. Our salesman said to not worry, come in and we'll take care of it. Came in, took a test drive with a tech who told us that this mushy drive was 'how they were geared for fuel economy'. They also looked at the history of the car and informed us (after the sale) that the transmission had already been replaced - strange in a new car. The brakes continued to squeak, so we returned again within a week. Dealership refused to look at them, did another quick drive and once again we were told 'how VW's are made'. At this point i called, emailed both the sales guy, general manager of the dealership and 10 days later no one will take my calls or answer emails. If I had time to sit in front of their dealership with a big sign, telling people to not buy here I would. More
Pushy Sales My husband and I visited this dealership a couple of months ago when I began my search for my beetle convertible. I knew what I wanted but wanted My husband and I visited this dealership a couple of months ago when I began my search for my beetle convertible. I knew what I wanted but wanted to test drive one. I went to the dealer and explained that I was looking for a convertible and since the dealer didn't have one available, a test drive in a hard top would work to get the feel of the car. My sales person, Gavin, did not seem keen on taking us out for a drive unless we committed to sit down and talk numbers afterward. He explained that if he took us out, while he was away- a serious buyer could come in and he may lose out on the sale. WOW! I couldn't believe someone in sales could be so tactless! We agreed to his terms, thinking we would play along. I loved the car, but hated the service we were given. Gavin referred to the car I was looking for as a Unicorn and agreed to keep his eyes open for it. I did receive one follow up phone call but about a car that did not fit what I was looking for. I was not able to find the car I was looking for but ended up buying a model with more options, but from another dealer that took the time to treat us like people and not just a potential sale. I will add that Gavin had given me a quote for the exact car I ended up buying (Gavin quoted 6 weeks delivery)....I bought my car for substantially less $ and it was delivered in 2 days! More
Decent purchasing experience - poor service I am aggressive with purchasing cars and do ok at most dealerships. I was happy with my purchase experience here and was planning on purchasing another vehicle until I saw how bad the service area was. The only con I can think of that I had in purchasing was that I was promised that the vehicle would be detailed by the manager and was told to pick it up the next day to facilitate that. When I came back the sales guy did not have it done (I suspect to maintain more of his commission). I was a bit annoyed as I saw lots of surface scratches on the new car (most likely due to transport and removal of the protective film. I detail cars myself and fixed it myself needless to say. The service though... Every time it takes wayyy too long. I have had numerous faults on the vehicle that should be fixed under warranty and so far haven't- in fact in checking with the girl at the counter- they haven't even been documented as part of the cars service history!! Not good... Every time there is an excuse for why the car isn't washed or vacuumed. I am frustrated and have written one scathing letter already to the dealership. It is very unfortunate because my girlfriend is looking to replace her MK4 golf but I think I will give someone else a shot. I am going to give this dealer one more chance at the service side of things and then I'm out! More
2014 VW Passat - Type 1 Service - 5 Hours I waited for 5 long hours (clocked using an iPhone timer) for the type 1 service + cabin filter replacement of my new 2014 VW Passat. Although the I waited for 5 long hours (clocked using an iPhone timer) for the type 1 service + cabin filter replacement of my new 2014 VW Passat. Although the service department had an unfortunate last minute auto mechanic sick calls during my appointment, there was no contingency plan to cover the staffing shortages with their prebooked service appointments. FIVE hours for a type 1 service even in this situation is just too long. In addition, the cabin filter replacement won't even take 15 minutes to complete. But overall, it took them 5 hours for this service. Sam from this dealership eventually apologized via email for the inconvenience after I completed the VW Customer Survey. However, I am now researching for other VW dealearships in BC or anywhere where I could go for my next several service appointments. Well, I don't mind the travel time as long as I receive an excellent service. More
