Classic Ripoff Repair Centre I took my Subaru in at 50,000 km as it was hesitating crossing an intersection. I chose a Subaru dealer vs Cdn Tire as i thought they would be better I took my Subaru in at 50,000 km as it was hesitating crossing an intersection. I chose a Subaru dealer vs Cdn Tire as i thought they would be better trained on the dashboard codes. Wrong. They spent 1.5 hours and phoned me saying the sensors were sending faulty codes and they wanted my permission to continue. Really? After another 1.0 hours they phoned and said it was the coil pack. OK. They wanted to replace 2 coil packs (2 cylinders per pack), the plug wires, the laser plugs which last 100,00 km and replace the sensor. $1000. total. I was already in for 2.5 hours of diagnosis at $100. and hour so they had me cold. In hindsight I should have pulled it out and taken it anywhere but here. Both coil packs can't go at once. All 4 plug wires and all 4 plugs aren't going to all fail simultaneously because a coil pack fails. Plug wires last 100,000 km as do the plugs which are $35. each?? compared to normal plugs which are $3.50. I only needed one coil pack and that's it. It should have lasted a lot longer than 50,000 km. Maybe I didn't need even that. I complained and the owner pointed out his mechanics are independent so he has to pay them regardless of how long it takes and so he couldn't afford to reduce my bill. B.S. I'm sure they bill 15-16 hours on every 8 hour shift using the Rate Book for auto repairs. Every person I talk to has had a bad experience with these guys. More
Great sales terrible service Bought a legacy from sean. Great guy to deal with. Came in for the first 10k service which is a basic oil change. Made an appointment and told them Bought a legacy from sean. Great guy to deal with. Came in for the first 10k service which is a basic oil change. Made an appointment and told them i would be waiting since it was a Saturday. Spent 3 hours there trapped in the waiting area which is 5 chairs and 2 tables in the middle of the showroom. Most others there seemed resigned to hopeless service. My son left his car there for some accident repair work. They left it on the lot unlocked. When they ordered parts for him to do the repair some were incorreect and some were not even needed. Complete incompetence. Their rates are also higher than other dealers as well. Never again. I drove to scarboro for my 20k. Much nicer More

They treated me fairly, were true to their word, responsive to my inquiries and didn't aggressively pressure for the sale of the car or any of the additional services. I would buy again from them More

Very poor sales service Car dealerships should be working towards building an ongoing relationship with their customers, not a one time transaction. I have been in sales and Car dealerships should be working towards building an ongoing relationship with their customers, not a one time transaction. I have been in sales and customer service for over 15 years and it makes me laugh when amateur sales people with little to no relationship skills are able to sell cars. My friend did purchase a car through your dealership but he definitely has a bad taste in his mouth. Do you want returning customers and people to promote your dealership? Hire better agents and put a plan into effect where they must follow up with the customer on how their "new car" is going.. Not once has my buddy got a call on how everything was going. I witnessed first hand mediocre sales techniques and the complete run around during the negotiation. Note* for anyone reading this who is purchasing a car; negotiate the price before you tell them you are trading in your old car-Car buying 101 Thanks for letting me rant More

He From the moment I walked into the dealership, I was openly greeted by Sean, and he was extremely informative and responsive during the sales visit. He walked me through the aspects of each vehicle and helped me make an informed decision. When we narrowed down the options he took me on multiple test drives. The entire time was very pleasant and at no time did i feel pressured to make a deal. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is considering a Subaru as their next vehicle. More
Brutal experience. Was interested in a WRX. Did my research and was time to try the car since I WILL NOT buy a car without test driving it. Called before hand and was told could test the car. I do not research and was time to try the car since I WILL NOT buy a car without test driving it. Called before hand and was told could test the car. I do not make make spontaneous decisions and I am a careful shopper might I add. Once the sales guy understood that, I was denied a drive. I have bought 2 new cars in the past 10 years. I have been denied a test drive on my current car at several other dealerships before purchasing my current car which was bought new and with a cheque. Clearly I ended up buying the vehicle elsewhere. What is wrong with dealerships. Asked to speak to the manager after being denied from the sales guy (who said I could over the phone) who clearly didn't appreciate me wanting to test drive one of his cars since he wasn't making a sale. It amazes me how some places just don't know how to so do business. Could I have gone back to buy the car after the test drive, yes. Could I have decided to go with a new model, yes. Will I recommend this dealership for anything (especially after the other review here), xxxx no. Here's the mangers response. 'We will not send out a car for a test drive unless there is a chance for sale'. Guess he wants to take advantage of people who have no self control which they clearly train their staff to do. Let me explain what an educated car consumer does mr. manager. They research the cars. They speak to mechanics. They test drive the car. They make their decision. Clearly you do not understand that. 'But it's a WRX', the sales guy says to me insinuating that there's no need to try the car. Ha. They have an inferiority complex at C&C. I'm calling you out on it especially after the sales guy put words into my mouth when I clearly (verified by my wife) did not say I will not buy this vehicle today rather more then likely I will not. Thanks for reading the rant. Word of mouth spreads likes wildfire...... More

We were never given a free oil change even though the car is under warranty and clearly there was a problem with it. They finally diagnosed the car and we were instructed to bring it in for repair and were advised that we should drop it off Monday after work and it would be returned to us Friday. We made arrangements to be down a car during this time. We then got a call from the person handling out service who told us they took the car apart and then realized that one of the parts was on back ordered. We both work, so we needed to get a rental car from them. They had our car for two week. When we got a call the car was ready they told us it was going to be $3oo and something dollars. We were in shock. They told us we had to pay for yet another oil change and the rental car. We called Subaru Canada who said they would not pay for the rental but if the dealership cared about their customers they would absorb the cost because they were the ones who screwed up by taking apart the car without all the parts on hand. They said it they should have never taken the car apart without all the parts being there. We were advised that we would have to work this out with the dealership. The dealership said we had to pay and that if we didn't return the rental it would just be costing us more money. We had no choice; we had to pay in order to get our car back and to avoid more charges. Further to this, the salesman we bought our first car off knew that we wanted to buy a forester next. Well it won't be from C&C that's for sure!
