Looked at several vehicles, sat inside, opened doors, etc and waited to be acknowledged, even looked around for someone to help. Not one staff even looked up from their desks. Ended up walking out. Now I see the other reviews and I'm glad I did. Too bad; it more or less eliminates Mazda from my choices, unless I want to travel into Ajax, making service less convenient. More

We met and I explained I was evaluating 3 cars and the Mazda 3 was one of them. He had the test vehicle ready. It was the car I asked for, the Mazda3 GS, no bait and switch. This was a good start. After the test drive we discussed the vehicle and pricing. He then went in and got his best price from the Sales Manager. The price was good and I was happy with it. In the end I didn't purchase the Mazda3 as a competitor's vehicle was better suit to me. More
AWFUL customer service I bought my Mazda CX-7 here in 2010. I fought with them from the get go over my "extended warranty". They told me "bumper to bumper" and yet every time something went wrong (which seems to be often) that it wasn't covered. Last year I took my car in for an oil change and they told me that my front break pads needed replacing - at a cost of $500 (for JUST the pads). I took it to a family friend who is a mechanic to check and he said I still had 60% of my break pads left but my tires that they swore were fine we so bald it was dangerous. He didn't even want me to drive home on them. This company is such a joke and when I tried to complain to the service manager I never got a response. I took it to Mazda Canada head office and STILL never got a sorry. Needless to say I will NEVER buy another Mazda anywhere but especially at Whitby Mazda. More

While in for the oil change someone managed to scratch the vehicle along the roof line just above the doors, estimated at $530 to repair. Rather than offer to do anything at all, the general manager (Alan Mackenzie) was more interested in explaining his so-called "honesty" policy that he has with his employees. He truly believed that since he has a policy in effect that there was no way they could have cause the damage without telling him about it. They use a vehicle health check report before and during service and no body damage was noted on it. The tech also checked off that the suspension was "good" however I was quoted $500 for suspension work that needs to be done??? I cannot think of one reason to recommend this dealership, the service is lacking, the attention to detail in their work is obviously lacking, responsibility by their staff is lacking as well as the professionalism from their management. The only good point I can offer is that the coffee in the waiting room was delicious. I wish I had checked reviews before ever taking the car there it is hard to find a good one. More

I admit, I was driven by my passion of getting MAZDA 3 sports and nothing was stopping me. Salesman - disaster experience when I think back. Nothing was transparent when dealing with them, always speaking in codes about price. Good thing I am excellent at math and kept my price in check. I fear for people who do not have excellent math skills, they can take you for a good ride. TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOUR SALES AGREEMENT. Make sure they are not sneaking in extended warranty like they did on mine. Finance Manager - ZERO customer relationship, all i heard was 2 words out of his mouth, which is good since I didn't have to listen to his sales pitch on add ons warranties and other stuff. On the service side, I had a relatively excellent experience, however salesperson that saw me come in just ignored me like i was a second citizen. Agree with other review, that after they make a sale, they do not care about you. Be smart when going into this dealership, and if you do not like their tactics walk away. Or better yet, avoid them. They are literally where your mind goes to when you think of criminal sales people. That cold feeling when you walk in after purchasing again and they've lost all interest in treating you like the valued customer now that you've paid their commission. Their service area is scraping the bottom of the barrel. I scheduled an oil change for 10:30am on a Saturday to just get it over with early and enjoy the weather for the rest of the day. I came in for 10:20am and they told me it would be ready in one hour at the longest. After 55 minutes I asked them if they were wrapping things up and the service manager said it would be another 45 minutes. I looked out and my car hadn't even been brought in the bay. I finally received my car after over 2 hours for a simple oil change (for $80) with no sorry or discount or anything. NEVER and I mean NEVER go to this dealership. There are people that make respected, educated, and logically sound car purchases, then there are people that shop here. They got me, don't make the same mistake. More
