Bought a 2016 Hyundai Elantra Sport from them. The issue was still there and I took my car back in, they said there was no issue with my car and the noise was normal. I took my car to a second mechanic because I knew something was wrong, 5 minutes into this random mechanic looking at my car he said I need a new engine. At this point I had been in and out of the dealer and so mentally drained because they told me it was my ac compressor, and kept telling me the engine noise was normal (it wasn’t). I asked my partner to go in because I figured they would take a man more serious than me and they mentioned a recall on the hyundai engine in the Elantra I bought. When I got this car I was advised all recalls were completed (example: the trunk latch). They said they would take a picture of my engine and lowe and behold the borescope showed scoring on my engine (see the first picture). I got a replacement engine and all I got for their misdiagnosis and telling me my engine was normal was an apology from Brody. An apology for their errors that costed me time off work, stress, and $2500.00 out of my pocket for a car they had mentioned was reliable. I had driven this car after and mentioned shaking after my engine replacement which they offered me a trade in for my issues. None of the cars they had were cars I wanted and they advised the sales person I spoke to would contact us. They never did. They advised me my car would survive the drive from Nanaimo to Ontario and I believed them. It didn’t. My „new engine” now has the same issue as the engine prior which is in the second picture attached. Less than 2,000kms later and this is the third engine in a car I purchased in June of 2024 which Ben sold me as a reliable car and which the mechanics have advised me would survive the drive back. I have since traded this car in and now I’m suffering the consequences of not only being down $2500 but I also have negative equity as I haven’t even had the car for a year. At the time of purchasing the vehicle I was advised this was a reliable car by Ben who said he wanted his girlfriend to purchase the car. I had to get brand new tires immediately because the tires were cracking, paint was chipping on the hood immediately, and the ac compressor was a misdiagnosis for an engine issue they were very well aware of. The two other hyundai dealerships one in Winnipeg which took the borescope picture in the second photo, as well as another dealer in Ontario were both astonished by the terrible service level I received by Wheaton Hyundai. They pressure sold me on a warranty for the truck, and underhandedly added an extra coverage provided by a 3rd party. It was very confusing, were these people trying to help me because of their experience of their job, or were they just pressuring me. I think it was about a 30/70 split. And that just doesn't feel good. So be prepared to be pressured when you get there. Even if the extras were worth it, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the whole experience. More

The price was bumped up by $7500 when including additional taxes. The additional cost were sold as accessory and protection packages. Pressure sales tactics were used. I was told that all the reservation deposits were going to be refunded and that deposits were not worth anything. I was also told that I would not be able to purchase an Ioniq 5 for MSRP because Hyundai Canada would not allow it. I contacted Hyundai Canada to determine where I was on the waiting list. They do not release that info. Hyundai Canada also denied that the deposits were being returned and denied the,"mandated", over pricing of the car. I considered leaving my deposit and wait for a car, but ultimately decided that I did not want a relationship with this dealership due to their coercive and less than ethical behavior. More
If you're ever wondering why manufacturers are switching to a Tesla style order direct from the manufacturer sales structure, look no further than Wheaton Hyundai. Was on a waiting list for a new Ioniq 5 to to a Tesla style order direct from the manufacturer sales structure, look no further than Wheaton Hyundai. Was on a waiting list for a new Ioniq 5 to replace my older Soul EV, and got a call from them saying that they have one coming in that wasn't assigned to a customer. Obviously this was good news and I was excited, so I went down and talked to sales about obtaining it. Car sounded great, and I was prepared to spend the roughly $60k on it. This is where things went down hill. The sales manager (Whom stayed in his office and didn't greet me) insisted that not only I spend $60k on the car, but that I was obligated to spend an additional $8000 on a protection package. What was in the package might you ask? Floor mats, cargo liner, interior protection spray, wheel locks, a second set of wipers for some reason (Are the factory ones not good enough?), and paint protection that wasn't even ceramic (Probably just a chemical treatment). I work in the car industry so I know the value of these items is roughly around $3000, so there was about $5000 in just mark up. I told them I was willing to get floor mats, cargo liner, trailer hitch and wiring harness, but they weren't having it. Needless to say I walked away from the deal. There is no other way to say this, Wheaton Hyundai sales are EV profiteers, plain and simple More

My sister just bought a used Nissan Kicks 2020 from your dealership. She is very happy with it and with her experience at your business. Leo was incredibly helpful, willing to answer all questions patiently dealership. She is very happy with it and with her experience at your business. Leo was incredibly helpful, willing to answer all questions patiently and looking up extra info for us. He was kind enough to take us out for 2 test drives and we didn’t feel any pressure to buy or make a decision too quickly. Taylor on finances was very helpful as well and offered various options but no pressure to take any of them. Lastly, Sandra on the insurance side made everything easy, quickly dealing with insurance and licensing while explaining everything in simple terms. A big relief to come to a car dealership and not feel pressured, instead giving us time to think about it and then making a decision. We felt valued and important by everyone we dealt with. We will certainly return for our next car and will definitely recommend you to family and friends. Thanks again! More

All they did was take off their "cash payment fee"; yes that's right, a fee for not financing a vehicle. They advertised that same vehicle as coming with two sets of tires. They only provided one set (snow tires). When I remembered, they said they'd look into. A week went by, and I had to follow up. Then they didn't have another set to give me, period. I asked if they could at least give me a discount on a set of normal tires. They said they'd get back to me. Another two weeks passed and nothing. Just a joke. No professionalism; sales and management were all involved and all blew it. More
