Hello Ms. Stadnick, I just wanted to follow up again after my last message and apologize for the experience you have had in our Service department, especially with regard to your vehicle being without a functional horn for several days. As you can appreciate, employees from all types of businesses make mistakes, and our technician made a mistake when performing work to your vehicle. I have gone through your repair order and verified with each person who was involved that your oil change and the airbag recall were definitely completed, but that in the technician's haste, he missed plugging the horn fuse back in, closing the fuse box, and putting it back in its place before we returned the vehicle to you. I have spoken with the technician and our Service Manager at great length to find out what could have transpired, and knowing the placement of the fuse box under the hood, I can confirm that no further damage could have been caused by having the fuse box not replaced, but do agree that no vehicle should ever be without a functioning horn. The technician in question has been working on Honda vehicles for many years, and performed thousands of recall repairs to vehicles; this is the first mistake he has made, and he does not take it lightly. I would still like to find out what we can do to regain your confidence in our dealership, and would love to speak with you directly to see how we can move forward from here. Thank you for your review - I also sent this message privately on October 23, 2015. I am concerned that you had a negative experience at our parts department and that you feel it may have been racially motivated. I have spoken with the employee that would have assisted you, and he is both surprised and apologetic that this was the impression he gave to you, as it was not at all his intention to not answer your question directly. I believe there may have been a miscommunication where he simply rushed to answer what he thought was the question without fully listening to what was asked of him, but as I did not witness the interaction, I cannot fully speak to the specifics. Wheaton Honda has always welcomed people of all races, religions and walks of life, including our Service Manager Hock Oon Yeap, who has been employed with us for more than 35 years.
