I was called by the service technician during the service, in which he informed me I needed a list of things done: All 4 new tires, brake fluid flush, new rear brake pads, dust boots, wheel alignment, rear windshield wiper repaired. These items were placed on my receipt, as I couldn't remember everything he said. No tire tread wear numbers were given to me but I needed to replace all 4 tires at 64, 000 km. I took my vehicle to KIPLING TIRE for a second opinion, as I suspected Mazda was not being honest. I NEED NOTHING DONE TO MY VEHICLE. My 4 new tires ? I can easily last another season. Brakes looked amazing. What dust boots (quoted $170 to replace at Mazda) all were intact and in good condition ! Rear brakes - what said the mechanic, they are sparkling and in good condition (he showed me). Mazda quoted me approximately $800 plus tax not including 4 new tires .... you guys are what give dealerships the rip off name !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disappointed. More
Good place to have your Mazda serviced!!! I was purchasing an Used Mazda 3 from a non-Mazda Dealer that had the Mazda 3 Traded-In by a customer who purchased a new Chrysler 200. Even though t I was purchasing an Used Mazda 3 from a non-Mazda Dealer that had the Mazda 3 Traded-In by a customer who purchased a new Chrysler 200. Even though the Dealer was selling the car certified with Safety & E-Tested, it didn't feel right even after 2 test-drives and 2 visits. So I called the Westowne Mazda, told them about my situation, and they recommended the $105 plus taxes 50-point inspection, and made an appointment for me. I was running a bit late (about 15 mins. behind schdeule) stuck negotiating at the Dealership, and a guy from Westowne Mazda called me asking if I was coming in or needed to re-schedule. I told him I'm running late, and he re-scheduled an appointment 30 mins. after my original appointment, giving me ample time to finish my negotiations and drive over. This was the best $120 (approximately after taxes) I spent. Turned out the Dealer was trying to scam me, and the car needed about $5000 in repairs (parts + labour). Also got some pretty good off-the-record man-to-man advice being a first time a Mazda/Mazda 3 owner. More
While I was waiting for the dreaded "used car manager appraisal", the salesperson I was working with (can't remember his name, he was so awful) actually just walked away and started helping anoth manager appraisal", the salesperson I was working with (can't remember his name, he was so awful) actually just walked away and started helping another customer!!! When I asked him why, he just walked away. NEVER NEVER NEVER again. More
One day my car wouldn't start, the immobilizer light was flashing. I towed the car to Westowne Mazda on a Sunday evening, dropped the keys off with the description of the problem and my contact informat was flashing. I towed the car to Westowne Mazda on a Sunday evening, dropped the keys off with the description of the problem and my contact information. The next morning I was told that the car will be taken care of the same day. I get there in the afternoon to pick up the car, was told that it was ready and was asked to wait for them to bring it out. 20-30 minutes later they tell me that the car is not ready, they are closing soon and will not have time to work on it. WHAT??? No loaner cars either. The following day they said it might be fuel pump problem. To replace it would cost $720 + labour + taxes (quoted price at another dealership is $527). They also said that they will not guarantee that it will fix the problem and I would still have to pay for the part and labour even if it didn't. And this is all on top of diagnostics and other time they supposedly spent on my car already. I was getting really shady vibes from these people. I decided to tow the car to another dealership, but still had to pay $160 for "their time" and no fix to my problem. At another dealership they just replaced a fuse and the car is fine. Avoid Westowne, they are a bunch of crooks. More
