One should never post any type of auto review until they have had their first service. I am sure that we all feel great at the time of purchase. Selling me a car is one thing. Wait until after your first six month service at least. My salesman (Keith Ross) was exceptional. Had he not been he would not have been able to sell me a car. For three months he tried to get me to post my review. I always said that I would after my six month service. Well here it is. Now ask me two question: 1. Would I buy another vehicle from this dealership? Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT. 2. What happened after your exceptional sales experience? Answer: Almost three months and seven or eight return visits since my first six month service back in Sept. I have yet to find closure to my service needs. It is now that I have begun the annulment of my marriage to West End Hyundai.It saddens me deeply! We purchased a 2010 Hyundai Accent from West Edmonton Hyundai. The purchase agreement included the installation of a block heater for the winter package. Unfortunately, the block heater had not been in Hyundai. The purchase agreement included the installation of a block heater for the winter package. The service department indicated that we would have to return the next week to have the block heater installed. The sales manager, Ocean, arranged for the block heater to be installed that evening while we were picking up our plates and tags. A big thank you to Ocean for making the purchase experience a pleasant one! Updated (2011-11-23) We have determined that the vehicle that we purchased does not have an anti-lock brake system (ABS). This was a safety requirement that my wife had specified to Laurie Cottrell when we identified the type of car we were interested in. We had test driven the vehicle in the first snow fall of the year. At that time, the vehicle was performing as if it had had ABS installed and Laurie had confirmed that the vehicle had ABS installed. After a few days, we took the vehicle on the road and were surprised to discover that the vehicle's ABS had either failed or was non-existent. We called Ocean to raise the issue with him. He asked us to bring the vehicle in for review by the service department. When the vehicle was brought in, a service department employee and informed us that the vehicle did not have ABS as the module was not installed. He informed us that our test drive in the snow to test for ABS must have had some other reason for the ABS like behavior. We have attempted to contact Ocean, but had been told he was with another client at the moment. We had left a voice mail for him to call us back regarding the ABS issue. We have not received any follow up calls from him to date. Very disappointed. More
