Lacking on thorough examination of the vehicle. The heating/cooling fan in our vehicle was making a terrible noise so we took it in for service. It was discovered that a rodent had gotten into the f The heating/cooling fan in our vehicle was making a terrible noise so we took it in for service. It was discovered that a rodent had gotten into the fan and housing, and the unit needed replacement. All that was fine with regards to the dealership and service department to that point.. The next day I decided to have a look at the the engine compartment to see if I could tell where it may have gotten in. There was rodent crap everywhere, so I started looking over the wiring and decided to check the air filter, and sure enough it had been chewed badly. This is where I have a problem with the dealership. In my opinion, I think they should have had a bit more foresight under the circumstances, and conducted a more thorough examination, especially the engine compartment. Rodents are notorious for chewing wires, making nests & etc , of which could cause a engine fire. When I called the service department to ask why no further examination, the service person just shrugged it off as," rodents get in all the time and we only deal with the issue that is brought to our attention". Good thing it didn't lead to a fire!!! More
