Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, I appreciate your feedback. I completely understand that your experience is your perception of the circumstances. For over 77 years Wellington Motors has serviced the Guelph and surrounding community and pride our selves on our reputation as the "good car store that gives you more I have learned there are two sides to every story, please allow me to provide a more detailed explanation. Your deal, an ordered [lease purchase] was approved thru a lender who, once the vehicle was built and arrived, lowered the residual of the vehicle, the amount the vehicle is worth at the end of the lease. Residues are subject to change by the lender but rarely in a significant way that would impact the value of a new vehicle over a 60 day period, the time between the purchase and arrival. In this case the amount was significant which would have increase the payment substantially. We resubmitted your deal at this time to a different lender who did not apply the same residual change in an effort to maintain the payment of your original deal. We were able to accomplish this which effectively allowed us to deliver your vehicle for the agreed payment. Yes, this would require changes to your deal prior to delivery, we were changing lenders, but no change was required from you in money down, due on delivery, term of the lease, or any financial outlay and most importantly it kept your payment as agreed. Our Sales Manager contacted every customer personally to explain the situation as we had almost 50 deals that were impacted the same way to review this change to the deal. The end goal was to deliver your new vehicle at the agreed upon payment at no additional expense to you. Yes, in your case you did not agree to the change, so we stayed with the original lender and you took delivery as you would have had we changed the lender. This was at a substantial cost re the residual drop from the original lender which was no fault of yours...or ours. I apologize that you overheard staffs frustration, this was directed at the lender who created this situation not the customer. In no way was there any attempt not delivery your purchase at the agreed payment, to the contrary, every effort was made to make sure we did deliver at the agreed payment.
