Respectful, honest, caring representative at Volvo Toronto We recently brought in our 2005 S40 for our bi annual seasonal tire change, a faulty door lock and to replace our left, rear light unit, which was dam We recently brought in our 2005 S40 for our bi annual seasonal tire change, a faulty door lock and to replace our left, rear light unit, which was damaged by a hit and run driver in a downtown parking lot. From the start of the service, beginning at the desk with Paolo Aranjuez, the experience was respectful, thoughtful and efficient, exactly what I expect from this dealership. The car was to be returned at the end of the day. Unfortunately “Murphy's Law Intervened ” as the left rear door lock panel was stuck and to force the panel might mean an $800 replacement if it cracked. Paolo notified me immediately and I said go ahead force it and if it breaks, we'll deal with it then. A phone call later and Paolo reported the door panel didn't break and they discovered the door lock was faulty. However, they needed to order the lock part and the car would not be ready at the end of the day as was agreed upon earlier. I was told to keep the rental car and they would pay part of the rental fee. Also, they suggested I replace a front spring and front sway bars. I said please replace them. The next day Paolo called to tell me that there were problems with the parts that were ordered... again “Murphy's Law” came into play. One part that was sent was the wrong part and the other was held up by customs at the border. Paola said, please, return the rental, we have a Volvo car for you to drive over the Victoria day holiday weekend. There was no argument, no excuses, Paolo and his manager acted responsibly and respectfully. I was impressed, but truthfully, after many years of going to the dealership I would expect no less of them. They didn't let us down, I was reminded, once again, why we continue to have them as our dealer of choice. We have had similar experiences over the years, and I can say their service is consistent every time we go there. The day after the holiday weekend, Paolo telephoned to tell me the car was repaired and finished. I returned the courtesy car, met with Paolo, went over the charges with him as he pointed out we had numerous percentage discounts for the delays experienced due to incorrect parts that were shipped to them. I thanked him and went on my way. Over the years of having our vehicle serviced at Volvo of Toronto, I have learned this; they have thoughtful, excellent people working there and if you treat them respectfully, they will treat you with the same respect. Unfortunately they have to deal with entitled hotheads who have little respect and who demand ridiculous service requests and reactions to “Murphy's Law”. If they took the time to listen and work with reps like Paolo, they would experience what service excellence truly is. The S40 has been a wonderful car and being twelve years old, wear and tear shows up from time to time. Cars degrade for a number of reasons. That said, we have not experienced excessive costs, because the car has been well serviced by Volvo of Toronto. The technicians, mechanics and service attendants are top notch. Service reps, like Paolo, are on top of craft, they provide excellent service. I appreciate the wonderful service he and others have given us over the past twelve years. This is my third Volvo. The brand has been the safest of all the vehicles I have owned and I will, when this car is retired, buy another Volvo. Post script... I wish also to acknowledge Francis Wong, who helped me one day when Paolo was on his lunch break. Again, he too acted immediately by making my experience timely and seamless. I bought my first Volvo in 1992 the day after I was in a terrible crash on the 401, it's a fluke that I walked away from that accident as my Mazda Van was destroyed by an out of control driver. Since 1992 I've been to all the dealerships in the GTA......I was never quite satisfied with the service at any of the GTA dealerships until I stumbled upon Lee Potter VOT. I was at the point of selling my 2004 XC70 as the front end had a terrible vibration since Day ONE. Two years later and visits to all the dealerships in the GTA. No one could figure out why it felt like re-entry in the Space Shuttle on the highway. New tires twice, one dealership even took it to a Porsche Dealership and used their fancy alignment machine to attempt to fix the issue. It was not a pleasure to drive on the highway. Lee Potter took carriage of the vehicle, he gave me a loaner ( no one else had ) . Lee did his research and called me a few days later to pick up my "NEW" car. Everyone else had missed the service advisory bulletin that had come out months earlier, it was a simple fix...... What a relief, thanks Lee. I've never taken any on my vehicles anywhere else since then. I'm ALWAYS satisfied, these guys get to know you, they actually care about you and want you satisfied and driving a properly maintained and serviced vehicle. That's why people by a Volvo isn't it ? Volvo owners are a somewhat of a rare breed, so to is VOT. Check it out, ask for Lee..... tell him Andrew sent you. If you're thinking of buying a Volvo do so there and get it serviced there. Lee and his crew will keep you driving Volvo for Life , like they have me. There isn't a technician there I wouldn't trust or have work on my car. They have really highly specialized mechanics trained for specific technical tasks on individual cars. If you have a specific issue or odd ball problem, Lee assures that the correct technician gets onto your car. These guys are in school at Volvo all the time. I had an oil change today at the dealership, the mechanic who worked on my car is so dedicated that he's in to work and training an apprentice technician even though he had shoulder surgery two weeks and his arm is in a sling. Crazy dedication by everyone there. Get your Volvo serviced at VOT even if you bought it somewhere else, drop it off one day on your way to the office downtown, catch their shuttle to your office. You'll never go anywhere else again. More

Paulo has always been extremely helpful and courteous and we can rely on him to give us the best service. He keeps us informed during the whole service process and to make sure we approve of any procedures. We have peace of mind when we leave our car in the care of this team and that there will be no unnecessary expenses incurred. We have moved 2 hours away from Toronto, but we still continue to have our service done with Paolo and Volvo of Toronto because it is worth it to continue to get this excellent service. I feel they are like part of the family and always treat me that way. I have purchased 4 Volvo cars from them. The brand of course speaks for itself, the cars are beautiful, safe and affordable. The difference is the special attention and service I receive that helps me make my life easier. I thought it may just be me but today I saw all the clients reacted in a similar way! All of them were greeted by name and they knew the team and especially Lee. I love the way Volvo of Toronto offers everyone excellent service. Today as I was leaving one of the customers was bringing in special snacks and I thought I should have done that too! My experience and rating is more that the highest and I will never own another brand! More
