Recent Visit to Waterloo VW I recently decided to take a drive to Waterloo to check out their vehicles and also considered trading in my immaculate vehicle. The Sales guy was friendly and easy going to start but when they realized that the customer was an educated one, he became somewhat less and less professional and even went as far as calling me by a wrong name. I decided it was not worth correcting him. I decided to go with a family member as they felt more comfortable with someone there to support hem. When I asked them to look at our car, they offered an amount that was roughly $11K below what they were selling for and that was enough reasons for me to forget considering a VW. They suggested that Infiniti suggested 23K or so when they had offered over $28K just a day before without any negotiations. Black book value is $30-32K and market prices mid to high 30s and they offered $25K. Who makes some 25%+ on a used vehicle? Dealer invoice on their car was just over 26K and they suggested the mark up is about a grand when it actual fact it's more like just over 2 grand. I know a dealership that misleads will not earn my business regardless of how good of a deal on their vehicle. We also found the whole process took much longer than anticipated as there were very few customers. More

I had the opportunity to work with Michael Raab at VW Waterloo after visiting I just purchased my first VW Jetta from he Waterloo Weber St. location! I had the opportunity to work with Michael Raab at VW Waterloo after visiting a few other dealerships in town and Guelph. He by far was one of the nicest salespeople who came across trustworthy, not pushy and really just fun to purchase a car from. Instead of trying to make an extra buck from me, he looked at how he could get me the best deal and the experience was great. You could tell Mike has been doing this for a long time, his experience shows, and the customer service from the entire dealership including the finance rep I spoke with was above and beyond. I will 100% be going back to visit Mike when my wife and I are ready to replace our other car. Some people say its all about the price of the car you end up with, but through other friends horror stories of their experience, its worth going to see Mike, he focuses on more then just the bottom line, he wants you to be happy and walking away satisfied with your purchase.
