Was sold the Gas and Go package, believing it would be worry free maintenance and less work for us, as well as giving us a better trade in value. 1st oil change and wiper blade change service took 4 hours....... Next issue, truck seemed to be lurching forward upon initial driving, especially when cold. Very dangerous in a parking lot! They wouldn't look at that problem at a regular service visit, it had to be booked in for a separate appointment as the regular service people don't do special issues (?)...very inconvienient. They said no problems could be found as no codes were being given by the truck. Googled the problem, found a Ford TSB that described the problem to a tee, but when we mentioned it, we were told it didn't cover our serial number. We insisted they do it, lo and behold, problem solved. Every time it goes in for a gas and go service, it takes hours and hours. We are convinced that they never fully look over the vehicle as they should as we have had a chipped window for 2 years now and it has never been made note of on the service report. Likewise with a burnt out licence plate light, but suddenly they discovered it last time but as it was corroded off, it wasn't covered (out of warranty now) and wanted $160 to fix it, but it should have been noticed well before 60,000km was up as it had not been working since about 20,000, just proving that they do not do thorough checks of the systems when they complete the service report card. We have had issues with front brakes and emergency brake. Another service provider (whom we trust to give an honest look over and opinion) discovered that the emergency brake was seized (at less that 100,000km) proving that it had never been serviced and the new front brakes (factory replaced as per gas and go at 55,000) were in desperate need of servicing (lubricating, etc) with less than 40,000 on them again proving lack of maintenance or at least properly looking at them and advising us of the situation. The icing on the cake was the day they failed to call that the truck was ready to go and left my spouse stranded in chatham at 5pm with no ride to the dealership to get the truck. We are tired of having to babysit when we paid for worry free maintenance. I do not recommend this service department at all. Very frustrated and will not be returning. More
Brought my vehicle in as it would crank but not start intermitently. I suggested that the cause may be a faulty fuel pump. Mechanics checked it and I was told the truck was triggering a code that a senso intermitently. I suggested that the cause may be a faulty fuel pump. Mechanics checked it and I was told the truck was triggering a code that a sensor was malfunctioning. Dealer was unable to change sensor due to seized bolts on AC compressor which needed to be removed to access the sensor, so I had to change it myself. After the sensor was changed, problem persisted. Solution was fuel pump as I has suggested in the first place. Dealer never checked fuel pump to ensure it was operating properly. I will not go back to Victory Ford for service even though they're the closest dealer to me. Also, they were very slow, I brought the vehicle in late on a Thursday afternoon and no diagnosis was done until Monday. More
