I hope while you are reading this review, I can change your mind in purchasing a vehicle through Universal Ford and Ford Canada all together. On May 10th, 2021 I purchased this vehicle, and two days after, the check engine light came on May 12th. When I brought it in for service at Universal Ford, they ensured me it would be an easy fix since it was a new vehicle. Ford changed the spark plugs and the vehicle was returned to me. Two days later the CEL came on again May 14th. Universal Ford had to service the vehicle again, at this time there had been multiple misfires. 2 days of driving the vehicle after getting it back the CEL came on and Universal Ford serviced it again, at this point I was getting frustrated and aggravated. I notified Ford Canada about the situation and started a case file, to see if they could get this car fixed. After being serviced, another 2 days go by and the CEL comes on again May 25th. I dropped the vehicle off at Universal Ford and emailed my sales representative Haley, regarding the situation. I notified my representative that I was unhappy with the in and out of service, reminding that this is a brand new vehicle that should not have these issues from the beginning. The car has been in your service bay longer than I have been driving it. Then I went into Universal Ford to speak with her and the sales manager regarding other options. They informed me the process is to fix the vehicle and that they would make it right in the end. I trusted them and left it in their hands. The fix was to change the oxygen sensor. Drove the vehicle for a couple days and the CEL came on again May 31st. At this point I’ve lost all hope for this car and regretted my purchase with Universal Ford and Ford Canada’s so called help in the process. Ford diagnosed the problem to the fuel injectors, which took a while as parts had to be ordered. My advisor notified me that the parts came in and the vehicle would be ready for pick-up. June,5th the CEL came on again, they diagnosed the problem to the crank sensor. While being serviced, damage was done to the interior caused by the mechanics. I reached out to Amit the service manager, and notified him of the damages and filthy state it was left in, adding to my frustrations. June 19th CEL comes on again, they diagnosed the problem to an electrical pigtail. The service advisor said, “Its been flawless since we installed the pigtail.” I told him that was great news and asked him when I could pick it up? My service advisor said that Ford Canada wants to do more testing. After testing it in the morning, the vehicle misfired again (CEL) July 5th. Ford Canada suggested that another pressure test needed to happen to see what the problem was, noticed the coolant was leaking into the engine and wanted to change the short block. I emailed the service manager and told him I wanted the engine replaced because I thought it would be done and over with, no more problems. He agreed and asked Ford Canada to approve the new engine, they approved. Universal Ford changed out the long block and said that the car was running great. I was so excited to finally get my car back and finally be done with all the stress and frustration that I’d experienced. While in service for the engine replacement the General Sales Manager gave me the option of getting into a different Mustang at the same value. After everything was discussed, Billy said he was going to put a sold sign on so no one buys it. Billy asked for trade in assistance from Ford Canada, they did not approve. They wanted me to take on the negative equity incurred since purchase, which would increase my payments. All Billy did was give me false hope, and I was back with the same problem of having to wait for the car to be fixed. Again, the car has been returned to me a complete mess! The interior was filthy and still scratched from the fist time. I also noticed the vehicle was revving roughly when changing gears, I knew something was wrong. On July 23rd the CEL comes on again. I was filled with anger and disappointment, I really thought that this was all over, and I didn’t have to worry about this anymore. All I could do is sit in the vehicle and think of how much I regretted this purchase. It’s now middle of September, and still nothing has been worked on, and all they have told me is that it will take a very long time to fix. Universal Ford and Ford Canada have been awful to deal with, the communication and customer service is horrible. I feel like this will be a never ending process, and I’ll still be left with a unreliable vehicle, that I do not feel safe driving. More

Worst experience ever buying a vehicle! The finance manager I dealt with put the contract & financing through higher than the bill of sale. It has now been over 5 months from the purchase date and I am still waiting for reimbursement of the overcharge. Called & emailed him 2 weeks ago & I was told Accounting would give him the cheque and he would personally make the payment plus interest for the incorrect higher amount & I'm still waiting. Never mind doing anything to make this right! Unacceptable way to do business!!! Would never recommend getting financing at this dealership. More

Parts Department were the worst. These old men there seemed not enjoying their job. Went there couple times just to buy coolant for my car.
