They then put on a set of new cheap after market SUV tires, Imove/Ironman tires on my truck. Well, these are the worst tires you could put on a truck and I promise I have slid on every snowy road, every packed down snowy road and every turn I made. Well, I paid them over $1200 which was supposed to be a deal for purchasing the truck, but it wasn't. When I researched the brand. They are no good for a ford F150 in winter and our snowy conditions. I phoned the salesman and he was going to talk to his manager to complain and I stated that this was purely unsafe and dangerous. Nobody bothered to call me back and now i have a useless set of tires, plus the salesman's first answer to the problem was "maybe just keep the tires as summer tires" but the truck came with summer tires that I kept because they were still good. I honestly couldn't even back out of my driveway with these tires without sliding. So here is my thoughts how can a Ford dealership allow there service team to put their customers safety at risk like this. I went to Canadian Tire and asked for an A/T all weather tire at a reasonable price and I bought a set that cost me a fraction more and when I drove to the same places I was sliding around on before, now I was safe. The Universal Ford sales person never bothered to call back and the manager never bothered, so obviously my safely doesn't matter. Maybe the Ford headoffice will care or maybe the media. I can't allow the next customer to have the same problem and end up in a worse condition than I did, god forbid fatal!! I just escaped with only near misses. PLEASE PEOPLE BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE GETTING, DONT JUST TRUST THAT YOU ARE GETTING A GOOD TIRE AS I DID!!! More

I visited this dealership to see a 2025 Ford Ranger that they had advertised online. It turns out they lied and didn't have the vehicle I had inquired about at the dealership when I arrived. They tried to sell me a more expensive one. I decided to entertain the one that was listed $6,000 higher. They wasted my time for two hours and then offered me a purchase price of $5,000 over MSRP, calling it the 'friends and family special.' I told them I would not pay $ 5,000 over MSRP and asked what they included. They told me Nitrogen for the tires and underbody protection for the truck. I told them no, and they offered me a $ 3,000 discount off the overinflated price, still $ 2,000 above the sticker price. I walked out—complete waste of time. More
Bought a car from them recently and the 3 people I dealt with were amazing, informative ans very helpful. There were some minor inconveniences but they did their best to get me my car asap. I’m not someone who writes reviews typically, but this dealership definitely needs the public to be aware of their practices. After buying 4 vehicles here over 13 plus years I’ve seen an obvious change dealership definitely needs the public to be aware of their practices. After buying 4 vehicles here over 13 plus years I’ve seen an obvious change in service and care of customer since it’s take over in 2019, sadly. I have taken all of my concerns to multiple managers and NONE have responded. First we took in our 2011 Lincoln MKZ for front end issues and after receiving a call from our service advisor that the repair cost would exceed $3500-4000 we decided to purchase a new to us Ford vehicle at Universal. Long story short, we gifted the MKZ vehicle to our daughter. After driving it for over a month she decided to take the vehicle back to Universal with the thought that she might get the work done herself. The dealership could not find our paperwork in our file, so they offered to redo the diagnostic testing for her for free. On completion they advised her that the repair work would cost her about $1700. Shocking to us as we would not have chosen to buy a new vehicle had that been our cost. Secondly, we took in our 2017 vehicle that was under extended warranty for noises in the front end. We had approximately 2-4 months left before our extended warranty expired. After having our vehicle for 10 days they said they couldn’t find where the noise was coming from and returned the vehicle to us. As the noise was audible and extended warranty close to expiring we took our vehicle to another dealership in North Calgary who immediately heard, acknowledged and preformed over $4000 in warranty covered work. Next, the vehicle that we bought to replace our MKZ was sold to us without recall work being performed. When we purchased the vehicle we were assured that it had been completed, but when talking with the other North Calgary dealer they had shown us that it wasn’t done. And finally, after being reassured that someone at Universal would look into our issues and requesting us to provide all paperwork of repairs done at the other Ford dealership, no one will reply back. Many attempts have been made to contact them. Sad after being loyal customers for many years to Universal Ford Lincoln Barlow, we will not be returning to a company that is so unaccountable for their service practices. More
This is the worst dealership in Calgary. Once they sell you the car, they don’t care about you anymore. Bought a Corsa or less than a year ago and has been in the shop more than I’ve had it. At this point, there’s still an issue, but I’m just tired of bringing it in. Cannot get anyone to return my calls or emails or voicemails I had to physically go into the dealership so they couldn’t avoid me. They have now since stopped communicating again. The salesman will sell you on this great experience buying a Lincoln and it is a lie. I don’t normally leave reviews, but the experience has been so bad. I have no choice. Avoid this dealer. More
