Safety First Right ? A few months ago I had a few buttons sticking on my steering wheel. I brought it into my local Kia and trusting the service members to do their job an A few months ago I had a few buttons sticking on my steering wheel. I brought it into my local Kia and trusting the service members to do their job and fix the problem , which they did. The same day I contacted them again and said there was a light on for my air bag. They reassured me it was normal and everything was fine but to bring it in so they could have a look. I brought it in they looked at it , expressed that it was normal, safe and everything was good to go. During these months I brought my car in for regular oil changes and everytime they drove my car and signed off there were no issues. Two weeks ago my brother in law got into my car and saw this light on. He assured me it was not okay to be on and to contact the dealership. I did. They told me I was wrong this was normal and it will turn off when someone sits down. I explained I drive my car everyday and the light does not turn off. They also told me to get a second opinion because they have already looked at this issue. I contacted another shop and they were shocked and very honest and explained that this light being on meant my air bag was off and would not deploy if I got into an accident. They also were so kind and professional as I was in tears and shock that I have been driving around unsafe. Today I brought my car into Donnelly Kia and their orginal thought was correct my air bag was not plugged back in. For months I have been driving around unsafe and all because I trusted a professional mechanic to do their job. Shame on you for telling me I was wrong. Turpin Kia Shame on you for not listening to my words and concerns and putting my life at risk because you refused to listen. More
