We referred other people to this dealership as well. Leased a Truck from Toyota City. 2023 Tundra. Mid January all of the safety features started saying they were not working and our Touchscreen/ Gps/ Bluetooth etc. stopped working. We got a loaner but we continue to make payments on the Truck and the loaner is not near the vehicle we are paying for. Fast Forward 10 weeks later still no truck. Last we heard from the Service manager was probably 4 weeks ago. Started to try to speak with GM - good at first but now is ignoring my emails. You might ask why don't you just turn the Vehicle back to them? Because they want $6700 from us even though we don't have our Truck - its a lemon, even though we have made 10 payments at full price while driving a much inferior vehicle, even though we have added a Tonneau Cover and Running Boards at our own expense. If you have read this far...Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this dealership or the Camrose dealership when they move. More
Is Toyota taking advantage of people who use finance options on parts and services? Are they charging different and higher prices for the same parts and services to people who have no other option but options on parts and services? Are they charging different and higher prices for the same parts and services to people who have no other option but to finance? We purchased tires through an add on market place for Toyota City. They offered a finance option. Since I'm am out of work due to covid this seemed like a good Idea. However I wanted to ensure I was not getting taken advantage of. I asked if the price of the tires minus interest would be the same through the add as if I went directly to Toyota city. I was told yes it would be. I called Toyota city to get a quote to ensure I wasn't being over charged. The quate was $287 less through Toyota city directly. When I inquired about the difference I was told it was a mistake and the higher price was correct. I told them that was a big difference. They responded that they checked with their manager and parts guy and that the higher price was correct. So taking there word for it we went ahead with purchase via the financing option. Now I find out that it wasn't a mistake and they over charged us by $287. I also found out that when they said they confirmed the price they didn't actually confirm anything. .Since I brought this to the attention of the manager he said the price difference was because one tire was an LT and the other was a P ratting, that is not correct because they don't make an LT in this size. He agreed to do a independent quate. Once he did the quate it showed that we were being charged more then we should have. After being caught in multiple lies Toyota City has offered us a credit. Apartmently they can't adjust the financing price and refuse to reimburse us the difference. I was told that all this information has been brought to the attention of general manager and he says that since we agreed upon this price they won't do anything more then an in store credit. Yes we agreed on the price however we were told multiple lies to get us to agree to that price. I have all those lies documented with proof. They can keep their credit. I would rather spend my time posting and sharing this information to potential customers than arguing with them about doing the right thing. FYI the tires are Duratrac they are an awesome tire. Good job to the technician as these are very hard tires to ballance and he did an amazing job using minimal weights. They ride perfectly at all speeds. More
I would give this zero star rating if I could. I was looking at purchasing a new corolla from this dealership. The sales associate, Nolan Ryland, informed me that there would be approx. $600 in addition looking at purchasing a new corolla from this dealership. The sales associate, Nolan Ryland, informed me that there would be approx. $600 in additional fees tacked onto the price of the car which weren't included in the advertised price. I reminded him that all-in pricing is the law in Alberta, and that dealerships must include all fees in the list price of the vehicle (with the exception of GST and financing fees). I sent him a link to AMVIC's website where this is clearly spelled out. In response, I received a nasty email telling me that this is a common price structure amongst dealers and that the vehicle was being sold "at cost" (which you cannot legally claim, unless you can back it up). He then told me it was unfortunate I couldn't appreciate a good deal out of the gate. The condescension, arrogance, and ignorance were appalling and no way to treat anyone, never mind a potential customer raising a concern. I have reported this dealer to AMVIC. More
I have bought over 30 New Vehicles in the last 20 Years and have to say this is the worst dealings I have ever had. They do not honor the prices listed on their website and try and add a bunch of extra co and have to say this is the worst dealings I have ever had. They do not honor the prices listed on their website and try and add a bunch of extra costs to the price and try to charge a higher interest rate than advertised. The sales person at this dealer by the name of Scott Montgomery is a very misleading liar and cheat and should be avoided at all cost. The most unprofessional sales person I have ever dealt with. Fantastic service and really easy to work with, speaking as someone who looked at many different options. David Ball made the process quick and easy when the decision on the RAV4 was decided upon. horrible management arrogant staff My wife was looking to get a new SUV and were comparing models at different dealerships we included toyota city wetaskiwin as one of our stops. Big m My wife was looking to get a new SUV and were comparing models at different dealerships we included toyota city wetaskiwin as one of our stops. Big mistake and absolute waste of time!! We are both well over 40 years old and professionally employed definitely not stupid but that is exactly how we were treated as though we were bumbling fools. I accompanied my wife on the first visit to be sure she was not mislead or mistreated or tricked into a bad deal. We were met by an arrogant kid (Nolan) in the sales dept who had absolutely no people skills or basic sense of common courtesy he had a constant smirk that made his condescending attitude seem even worse. Before we went to toyota city I did my homework on the vehicle after researching what real pricing should be I called AMVIC and talked at length about legitimate fees whats legal and what isn't legal and typical scams dealers try to get away with. They had been calling my wife everyday to go back but my wife was so put off by them that she asked i deal with them on her behalf and stayed home. Armed with legitimate qualified information from AMVIC, APA, comparative pricing from 4 other dealerships I visited toyota city for a second time to see if they would be transparent or demonstrate some integrity. The second visit turned out to be an even worse experience than the first ! I was brought into the general managers office met by a very abrasive insensitive manager that could only hear his own voice he had no interest in hearing out a customer. I told him again that I did my homework on pricing I spoke to AMVIC, APA , cited section 11 in the consumer protection act that applied to the situation and had 4 other dealers prices so I was prepared and would not be paying bogus fees or hidden added dealer costs. We just wanted an honest transparent deal. The manager quickly challenged and belittled everything I had presented and stated that AMVIC does not have a say in how they do business and my findings were not real. He was clearly implying that AMVIC was lying or I was lying he had his mind up that only what he had to say mattered nothing else not even the consumer protection act mattered to him. I got up and told both of them that they had wasted my time and walked out. That experience says it all to me no respect no integrity I would never go back. More

Not a good experience. Avoid buying here. I would not buy from Toyota Wetaskiwin again. Beware buying from dishonest sales people. They do not live up to promises made to make the sale. T I would not buy from Toyota Wetaskiwin again. Beware buying from dishonest sales people. They do not live up to promises made to make the sale. The salesmen Nolan told me that there was a promotion for 2 years free oil changes. When signing papers I ask how I can ensure this was included. After inquiring, the Finance Manager ensured me that is was on file and that we just need to let them know when we come in for a service. At the first service, everyone claimed to have no recollection of this offering. It is really unfortunate the General Manager, Gilbert couldn't even stand behind the dealership and make good on the deal that the two other staff had promised. This speaks volumes to how the GM runs the dealership, sale through to service. Plus, when I first picked the vehicle up, the fuel tank was empty, it had a range of 16km. I had to drive across the street and fill it with gas before going home. Thanks for your gratitude. More
