Purchasing a new vehicle I went to Tom Smith's to simply to look at what they had on the lot in new vehicles. I had no intention of buying a new car although it was my plan t I went to Tom Smith's to simply to look at what they had on the lot in new vehicles. I had no intention of buying a new car although it was my plan to purchase one in the next 12 months. I wanted to see what was out there for options. It had been arranged for me to meet with Tim to talk about a couple of models of vehicles that I was interested in seeing. Tim spent a good 1 1/2 hours with me answering all my questions and providing me with information on all the incentives that were available for me. He suggested other vehicles for me to look at that would also provide me with everything I wanted in a new vehicle. At no time did I feel pressured to buy and I think that was the turning point for me. Once I made the decision to purchase a vehicle Tim was very thorough in explaining the process to me from the initial deal, the value of my vehicle on trade, the steps that needed to be completed to get the vehicle I wanted, and finally, the final purchase agreement once the vehicle arrived. He also explained the workings of OnStar because I had never had OnStar before and he walked me through my introductory call. He also made sure I understood everything I could get on the electronic dashboard; also new to me. I dealt with Erica Sandy on the financial paperwork. She, like Tim, made sure I fully understood the warranty on the vehicle, additional warranty that was available for purchase, as well as the OnStar feature. She was very thorough in covering all lines on the purchasing agreement in terms of the financing so I knew exactly what the dollar amounts were by the time I left the dealer. All in all it was a very comfortable experience for me. The customer service I received in the purchase of my vehicle, and the past experiences I have had with the service department will likely make me a Tom Smith customer for years to come. More
I found that all of the staff at Tom Smith's were great. When I was first looking to buy a new car I never once felt like I was being pressured into buying something that I didn't really want or nee great. Mike McFadden helped me find the car that was in our price range and met all the needs for our growing family. When it came time to "close" the deal, Erica Sandy was amazing!! She never made us feel like we had to purchase "extras" but did inform us of the benefits of purchasing add-on's that in the long run are going to save us money (like rust protection and leather protection). I purchased my car in December and have been in once for service to have an oil change. The staff in the service department were great, from the person who answered the phone (sorry I don't remember your name) to book my appointment to Mike Tennia who was the smiling friendly face that met me at the counter when I arrived. Mike answered all of my questions and never once made me feel like a "stupid girl" when trying to get more info on the way my new car operates! I will and have already recommended Tom Smith to my fiends and family. Keep up the great work!! More
