so this just happened. I booked an appointment over the phone, days in advance for a standard oil change. When I arrived today, my service advisor, Assad, immediately began aggressively pushing upsells...a coolant flush, transmission oil change, inspections...blah blah blah... typical sales pitch I'd expect, which I politely declined multiple times. When I mentioned that I handle some of my own routine maintenance and didn't need the extra work, Assad actually had the nerve to condescendingly ask, "Well, why don't you just do your own oil change ?". at which point I just chuckled at the utter lack of professionalism. but I wasn’t gonna let his attitude ruin my day, so I confirmed for the 10th time that I only wanted the oil change I originally booked. IT GETS WORSE. Assad then flat out denied me the promised shuttle ride home. Apparently the shuttle service is only reserved for customers who pay for the "Toyota scheduled full service". well, as a lower class customer, it was clear to me that I need to leave immediately and reflect on myself on daring to book a service at such a premium location and only spend $150 for oil change.(ikr, lol). My family has multiple vehicles and I've had them serviced at many dealerships, including other Toyota locations. I have never encountered such petty, toxic behavior. Baiting a customer with a promised service to get them through the door, and then trying to leave them stranded to disrupt their workday because they won't play ball? Assad and this service department do not care about customer service, they only care about high pressure sales tactics aimed at innocent customers and play dirty when they realize the customer isn't a pushover. This is the second time this place left a bad taste for me. First was a few years ago when I actually paid for the full service, and I was told I had to do a full brake replacement including changing the rotor cuz they "need to be replaced right away or I'm risking my safety". funny thing is, I literally just changed the brake pads myself a few months ago and barely drove that car(pandemic time). I thought after all these years and a decent google review, they must've changed. oh boy was I wrong... Imagine what other tricks they use to improve their financials at the expense of customers... do they even perform some of services they claim they were going to do, but difficult for customers to verify? Guys, take your money and business to somewhere else where you are still respected when not dropping $60K on a new car or spending $200 for a cabin/engine filter swap.... More

He carefully listened to my needs and delivered exactly what I was looking for, without any pressure. I truly appreciated the efficiency, full transparency, and the absence of any hidden fees. Everything was clearly explained, which gave me confidence at every stage. Hamed’s honesty, respect for my preferences, and dedication to customer satisfaction made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a straightforward and trustworthy car-buying experience. I would also like to highlight that the rest of the staff are extremely polite, professional, and always willing to answer any questions. In my view, strong and thoughtful management has built such a friendly and responsible team. That’s why, over the past four years, I have consistently chosen to come here from Aurora for both purchasing and servicing all three of my vehicles—even with a 40-minute drive. I would definitely recommend Thornhill Toyota and purchasing from Hamed Khalighi, even if you live far from Thornhill like I do. Driving 30 minutes or even an hour is absolutely worth it for an experience and a lasting positive memory. More
I am writing this review with immense disappointment, dissatisfaction, and frustration after all of my experiences at Thornhill Toyota dealership from December 2025 to March 21, 2026 - and before. At my dissatisfaction, and frustration after all of my experiences at Thornhill Toyota dealership from December 2025 to March 21, 2026 - and before. At my last service at Toyota Thornhill in December 2025 - roughly 3 months before my lease ended on March 13, 2026 - one of the Dealerships Assistant Manager's, Delano Plummer, advised me to have the recommended oil change, brake fluid replacement and also service the brakes and replace the pads and also pay for a full service inspection fee that confirmed that my vehicle's satisfied the Ministry Safety requirements -even though the vehicle had less than 14,000 kms over the 39 month lease. After paying the entire amount, I noticed that I over paid and had to return to the dealership the following week to be refunded for the amount that I over paid. As well, in March 2026, after making several attempts to contact the dealership without success - leaving many many phone messages and sending several emails, to make arrangements to buyout the lease, I sent the required payout by on-line banking to Toyota Credit Canada on March 5th for the lease agreement full payout amount, 8 days before the lease end date on March 13, 2026. On March 9th, Toyota Credit Canada called me and advised that they cannot accept the on-line banking payment amount and advised me that only the dealership can accept the lease buyout and to visit the dealership with a bank draft for the payout amount and would be refunding me the total amount. On March 17, 2026, I received a cheque, from Toyota Credit Canada, dated March 12th, that was mail dated on March 13th, in the mail to my home address for the amount I sent by on-line banking eight days earlier. On March 14th, the day after my lease ended, when I visited the dealership, and after I was assigned a Business Manager, Daniel Kaminski, only after I called back the dealership at least 7 times, in one day alone, I was advised that my new lease payout amount was now higher, which, as requested by the dealership, in writing after the lease ended, was to be issued as a bank draft payable only to Thornhill Toyota, which I presented to Daniel on March 21st. As well, I also paid an additional fee to have my vehicle inspected again for a MTO Safety Certificate - as the dealership was not willing to honor the earlier vehicle inspection in December and was not willing to honor the original lease buyout amount. On the same day, another Dealership Assistant Service Manager, Bob Simmonds, told me that while my '22 Toyota Corolla passed the MTO Safety Inspection, I would have to pay another $369.79 - taxes included - again - along with the new lease buyout amount. As well, Bob Simmonds, also advised me the one of hub caps had been damaged - but did not offer to replace that either!! As well, although the dealership only provided me with a copy of the MTO ownership under the name of Toyota Credit Canada, and I also paid another $35.36 the same day!!! As well, when I tried to speak directly to the Dealership Service Manager, Eli Edwards, I was told that he was not available, and when I tried to contact him many, many, times, I was was not successful, and he never returned any of my messages either. Not only are all of these experiences at Thornhill Toyota deeply unsettling, but they have also wasted a considerable amount of my personal time, having me runaround just to buyout my lease and pay much more than is required. As a result, these visits to Thornhill Toyota have left me dissatisfied with the level of trust and transparency at the dealership. And while I believe it is important to let you know that I am completely dissatisfied with my experiences, I am also going to share these experiences as well on various social media reviews to ensure that others are also aware and they can also make informed decisions. The last thing any vehicle owner wants is to feel taken advantage of or deceived - BE CAREFUL! More

Terrible experience with Vinay and this dealership. Made us travel one hour for a car that was no longer on the lot to try to upsell us on another car. No regard for our time. Recently I came to Thornhill Toyota for my regular car service and to solve the tire issue that I had. I was met there by very nice staff including service advisor Davis that took care of my tire problem service and to solve the tire issue that I had. I was met there by very nice staff including service advisor Davis that took care of my tire problem and explained me how to fix it in a very professional way. Oil change and all other included services were done on time and the tire problem was solved absolutely fantastic. Davis is a nice person and knowledgeable in the field.
