Stay away.......... Though the initial sales experience with our 2015 Ford Edge Sport was quite good, I have to comment on the service department at Thorncrest Ford. I Though the initial sales experience with our 2015 Ford Edge Sport was quite good, I have to comment on the service department at Thorncrest Ford. I do not understand how this place stays afloat. The communication within the department and to me was almost non existent and on top of this my vehicle is in worse shape now than prior to me bringing it in for warranty repair. After 7 days and 2 attempts, the issues present were not fixed, I was never given an explanation or any paperwork - I was just called 15 minutes before they closed to let me know the vehicle was ready. It was not fixed, though I can see attempts were made because the light covered head liner has dark greasy hand prints all over it. Literally over the entire headliner. Great. I'm going to try another dealer and hopefully they are a little more skilled in repairing their vehicles and their customer service. I can assure everyone reading this is not an isolated incident, because I've had similar experiences in the past with different vehicles. Back in 2014, I was quoted $500 for brake replacement on my 2011 F150 - after paying $750, I noticed smoke coming from the right front wheel . I got out to have a look, and it was obvious there was an issue with the brake installation. I took the vehicle back, but the service advisor did not even want to have a look - he said it was cold and snowy out. I was heading on a 700 km (each way) road trip so I was a bit concerned. Once I got to my destination, I could easily see there was something wrong so I took my vehicle into the local Ford dealer in Sault Ste. Marie where they informed me the brake pads were installed backwards and the calipers were never serviced. I paid this dealer to repair the mistake and to Thorncrest Ford's credit, they did re imburse me for that repair but never once admitted to a mistake and never apologized for the headache they caused. I have been a Ford owner since 1993, in fact my father was a 40 year employee at the Ford plant in Oakville. This was part of the reason for purchasing this vehicle, but I will honestly and wholeheartedly admit that I regret ever walking into this dealership. I would recommend at ALL COSTS to AVOID this place and drive a little bit farther to the next dealer. They claim to be the best in Etobicoke according to Reader's choice awards but that's only because they are only dealer left in Etobicoke. More
Lack of customer communication. The service representatives seem overloaded. Waiting on hold for long periods of time is common. Their "leave a message" system did not work. Absolute amazing service from vijay I went into ford on 31st October 2016 to look for a new car, was greeted by Mohammed who was very helpful and asked what we were looking for, once we I went into ford on 31st October 2016 to look for a new car, was greeted by Mohammed who was very helpful and asked what we were looking for, once we told him, he took us to a selection of cars, he showed us around a couple and took us on a test drive,he had a lot of knowledge of the car and was very very helpful, one we chose the car we liked, Mohammed took us to see vijay to go through all the financing details,vijay was very helpful he explained everything in detail, from start to finish on the sale of our new Ford Escape vijay couldn't do enough to help us, he was constantly updating us with the process, vijay is an absolute credit to ford, even after the sale offered for us to come back a week or so later to go through the sync 3 system in the car if we were having any issues with it, (what a guy) I seriously recommend seeing vijay and Mohammed for your new car, they are a great team! Also a big thank you to Danny from financing, all the staff at thorncrest ford were so welcoming and friendly! P.s see you in 4 years for an upgrade 😊😊 More
Tried to buy a vehicle - not an honest dealership Went to purchase an explorer and was trading in my vehicle . They said they gave the highest on trade value out of anywhere . When it came down to it they offered me less than half of other dealerships . They are crooked and play games - we left the dealership after offering a more than fair price for their vehicle . They declined it and we left - only to have them call us numerous times after we just left the dealership and kept coming down a little from the previous offer - they just wanted to play back and forth games . My advice is this - go to a dealership that wants to sell cars at fair prices with no gimmicks -'we went down the road to White Oak Ford and they were excellent to deal - happy to say we bought a car there and was more than happy with the price they wanted - NO games just an honest number More
Never had a good experience I've gone into this dealer 3 or 4 times because it's conveniently close to my work. Twice to look at new cars and twice for service. All four times have left me angry And frustrated. The service department is absolutely disgusting. They refuse to book appointments for small warranty problems, and have a quota of certain things they can do in a day, so sometimes you have to wait weeks for a service because they're only "allowed" to book certain types of jobs. they treat you like they're doing you a favour even looking at your car, and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw my 2014 Escape. I now drive 35 minutes north to go to Summit Ford for better service. More

They didn't have an acceptable one in stock but told me they would find one elsewhere. It took them 48 hours to find one. They told me they didn't time to search for one in the first day. I went in and gave them a deposit on Wednesday. Thursday morning they called to advise it was sold. I called the sales manager to complain about the delays and he told me it was my fault for not giving them a deposit on Monday, He advised me he didn't want to deal with a dissatisfied customer and would reimburse my deposit. On Friday morning I called Dixie Ford in Mississauga and purchased a 2015 Ford Escape. The total transaction took less then two hours. Also, they treated me like valued customer, unlike Thorncrest. More

More
