It is my great pleasure to extend in writing my review and a harty "shout-out" to the personal at The Honda Way in Abbotsford. My experience began by meeting Daniel Wang a salesman. He began by introducing himself and sitting down with my wife and me to discover what our need was for coming into the Showroom and his desk. We were at the out set put at ease ;sensing no pressure or had no feelings of intimidation. We came into see a Honda SUV which we had seen on The Honda Way website. It was there; we took a drive around the parking lot of the dealership. As we return to Daniel's desk, he came back to us with sad news; it had been sold by another salesman just that quick. Oh! yes, we went away very dismayed. We went home. After being at home, the telephone rang; it was Daniel. He had good news that another vehicle had become available. It was a 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan. We got in our car and drove immediately back to The Honda Way! Wow! after having a very definitive conversation with Daniel, he had my wife drive The 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan around the the dealership for a test run. Oh! Wow what a great thrill it was to experience such a beautiful machine. We came back to Daniel's desk and continued our non-pressure of salesmanship by Daniel for our purchasing The 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan vehicle. The processed continued by our being ushered over to Lovey, in Financial department. He proceeded to explain the details of the sale. His manner of presentation to customers whom he had never met was astounding. My wife and I were so pleased to have met him. Please, extend our gratitude to him. The processed continued the next day with our meeting Julia in The Financial Department. Her effervesant demeanor was so pleasing to my wife and me. We went through the process of presenting Julia with a Bank Draft for the purchase price of The 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan vehicle. It was like our being "a six year old child at Christmas Time."..we were so very happy! Wow! then we were introduced to Hanna...I call her the "Red Ribbon Lady". She ushered us into show room area where our 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan ( I am writing this review in such detail because each moment was a wonderful experience)! Hanna showed us details of our; I am saying "our" because we at that moment realized it was surely "ours"! Hanna used our cellphones and took a few photos of my wife, Doris and me, Gordon standing by our prize possession. Wow! What an experience! There is one more person to whom I want to give thanks; his name is Mr. Hash, General Manager of Sales. . He made a great consession for us concerning a key which had been not been returned with The Honda Civic Touring Sedan by the original owner. Daniel did not know about this until after we had bought The Honda Civic Touring Sedan. He made Mr. Hash, aware of this matter. Mr. Hash was very generous to us by refunding the full amount which we had to pay for the new key to us by giving us a a gift certificate of the full price of the key for us to use for future service on our Honda Civic Touring Sedan. OH! How I would to like meet Mr. Hash to thank him in person. My wife, Doris and I, Gordon want to thank everyone at The Honda Way for kindness and courtesy in every area....even for Daniel bringing me a nice hot cup of chocolate while we were finishing the Insurance process. Extremely unprofessional and discourteous. Never interact or do business with this dealership. I bought a new Honda CRV and The chronological list of my experience with Honda WAY is below Never interact or do business with this dealership. I bought a new Honda CRV and The chronological list of my experience with Honda WAY is below: 1. Booked the car on 20-OCT-2024, confirmed to pick up on 31-OCT-2024. After booking the car, we never received any updates on delivery of the car. We had to follow up multiple times and we were literally ghosted. Our sales representative was YADWINDER KANWAR, and he did not contact us, or return any of our calls. 2. On the date of collecting the car, 31-OCT-2024, after a long wait, we met HANNAH LARSEN. Hannah, after introductions were exchanged, started the conversation with "What if you die, who will pay for the car then. Here is another insurance for you to buy." This dampened our happy mood and we were really aghast by her approach to the customers. She carried on to try to sell us other types of insurance. 3. We then met an insurance agent, who misguided us, and was more interested in selling third party insurance. We had to drop everything after this and go to BCAA to get some legitimate insurance. 4. While taking delivery, we met a third agent, SUKHPREET KAUR, who was not at all trained. She was not able to provide any information about security and other necessary features. She reiterated the information as told by our sales rep. There was no checklist to ensure if all things and information was shared reg the car features. She missed sharing about the Radio code for example. 5. After leaving the showroom, we realized that Sukhpreet had not provided us with the second key fob. We tried contacting the dealership and no one responded. We tried contacting them multiple times over the last week, and they are still in possession of the key fob for my car. The key fob for my car is in possession of someone I don't know, and it is unsupervised. 6. The Honda Link app does not have my email registered. There are no updates to the status of the car or any other information. We informed Yadwinder about this and also shared the screenshots of the home page for him to resolve the issue, but he hasn't followed up till now. 7. While setting up the car's touch panel, I got locked out of it. As it turns out, Sukhpreet did not provide us with the CODE for radio and we had to drive without access to navigation, charging ports or radio. And we did check everywhere, glove box included. We have tried to contact the dealership and Yadwinder, and we have received either a wavering response or simply went to voicemail. I strongly suggest everyone , to take their business elsewhere. Just finished getting our new used car from them and couldn't be pleased more. They did everything in their power to make our deal come together and the people at this dealership do everything within th couldn't be pleased more. So my experience started nice enough, the sales person was nice and the reviews looked good online so I decided to place trust in the Honda Way. My mistake lol! One of the things that this dealership advertises is a 159 point inspection so I thought that I would be safe. I ended up buying a used car for 54k. During the first week of owning it, I noticed that the front passenger window did not go up properly. I just bought the car so I called them to take a look because IMO they inspected it so window function is a basic function that should be checked. Now this is where the experience started to change. I bet a lot of their clients are regular people like me that put a lot of overtime hours to buy the car they want. I got no sympathy when I explained my situation. They should understand that buying a 54k car outright and finding something wrong with it would worry most normal people. Instead everyone I spoke to seemed more interested in telling me that I will have to pay 200 dollars for bringing my car in to be checked. I decided to get my car checked as I bought it at the dealership and they would know my history. After dropping my car off, I spoke to the general sales manager. He said that we would see how the repair played out. This gave me false hope that I should follow up with him afterwards. When I went to look for him, he was conveniently busy but was able to send another manager to tell me that their was nothing that they could do for me so I ended up getting burned for the fee. (I did see him in the showroom though and It seemed like he saw me) It’s okay though because it help me realize that money is more important than customer relations to the Honda Way. Yes, I got burned but will be purchasing my daughters and family’s vehicles from a another dealership. One that values repeat customers over their bottom line! USED CAR BUYERS BEWARE: 159 point inspection does not cover basic functions. Few other things that didn’t make sense: Why is the documentation fee added into the price of the car and not an itemized charge on the sales receipt? The history of the car that the saleswoman told me was different from the actual history. More
We just returned from an 8000 km trip to the go of the Baja peninsula and back. Our truck was looking worse for wear and needed a service badly. And then there was the snow.
