“Financial Manager Hard Selling anti-rust protection” (I am new to Nova Scotia, please forgive my English) After I made the deal and paid the deposit, the sale asked me to get inside to the financial manage am new to Nova Scotia, please forgive my English) After I made the deal and paid the deposit, the sale asked me to get inside to the financial manager room. Meanwhile, the financial manager started to sell to how good is the anti-rust protection during the winter which can let your car get away from the corrosion of the salt. After the long long lesson, I did make my decision which not to buy the protection. Suddenly, he turn his sincere face to be very mania. And ask to tell him which day and what time I can come to pick the car immediately. Don’t even let me to think about. It is totally insulting. I followed his ORDER to tell him when I can pick the car. After I get out of his room, I talk about this to the sale person. It is totally incredible, the financial manager rush to me and said that I was injustice. He was very very angry and rude. It made me very upset about this purchase experience. Honestly, the salesman Barron Rygiel did a very good service. He is sincere and enthusiastic. He did a very good job. However, the financial manager is a tragedy. I think the management has to think about how to solve this problem about the financial manager. If not, it would be slander the reputation of the company even having a very good salesman team. More

Although the sales experience three years when I purchased the truck was good, I am extremely disappointed with their service department; therefore, would not recommend this dealership! I had one ex purchased the truck was good, I am extremely disappointed with their service department; therefore, would not recommend this dealership! I had one experience with work being undertaken and charges applied without be notified ahead of time. Further, when my recent MVI was being completed, I was notified that my rear brakes would not pass, even though I was notified two months ago (when my brakes were last serviced and I specifically asked about their condition) that my brakes “had lots of life left”. Upon further discussions, the story changed to only be the emergency brake that wouldn’t pass and then come to find out, the emergency brake apparently never even gets looked at during a brake service (which is likely what caused the issue to begun with). The service manager was anything but sympathetic of the situation or helpful. Needless to say, I have lost all faith and trust in the service department and will never use this dealership in the future! More
Do not waste your time here... ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE I can't even say enough bad things about this dealership. Every single experience I've had with them has been a disappointment with no customer servic I can't even say enough bad things about this dealership. Every single experience I've had with them has been a disappointment with no customer service. Every single person from the financial manager to the sales reps, to the service department is incompetent. I leased a Jeep in 2018, the original team who set up the deal was great. However, shortly after everything xxxx the bed when everyone left because of new management. The first encounter, I was originally told by the sales rep we leased the Jeep from to bring my jeep in and get the service department to take off the hard top for me and install the soft top as it can be a lot of pieces. Upon bringing it in, I was told this was not something they offered (even tho you are a jeep dealership?). After some back and forth they agreed to put the soft top on and said it would be an additional 2 hours. That's fine, I went off to work. They later called me and told me I would need to leave the Jeep overnight and it would be done the following day. This is my only vehicle, I need it to get back and forth between jobs and they said it would only take an additional 2 hours at most (it was brought in at 8am). The second encounter, I went in because the Jeep had recently been detailed from a different company and they had rubbed the grease off the trunk latch. I went into the main building as the service department had the door down. I was then told by a sales rep, and this is a quote "I don't know anything about Jeeps, I just sell them". Pretty weird thing to say when you work at a JEEP dealership and this is literally your livelihood but OKAY. An additional encounter with them, I wanted to purchase new winter tires for the season as I felt the all seasons weren't cutting it. I called and asked them to provide me with a quote. They emailed a few. I received a call from one of the service people asking me which ones I wanted. This is a lease, so bigger tires are not allowed, and yet they quoted me bigger tires. When I commented on this, the sales individual was very defensive and said "I did this up myself and those are the right sizes" (even though they differed from another size that was quoted. I said okay, I want those ones then. They then called me back about an hour later saying that they quoted me the wrong tires and that those ones were BIGGER than mine... I went and got tires somewhere else. In regards to the service team, they are all pretty much incompetent. I have had three different sales reps tell me they know nothing about Jeeps and that they just sell them. Is this the new motto or something? Seriously it is a jeep dealership... literally says jeep in the name on the sign. I do not understand why they continuously feel it necessary to tell customers they don't know what they are talking about. As a customer, I want to know that the person I'm dealing with knows how to do their job and is knowledgeable about the product. I recently took the jeep in for an oil change, when speaking with the service advisor on the phone, I informed them I needed a first appointment as I needed to be out of there and to work by 8:30 (down the road). The lady said that was fine, it should only take them about an hour. I said great, arrived at 7:15am, 15 minutes before the designated appointment time. When I got out I asked the girl working there how long it would be because I only had about an hour. She was incredibly snotty and rude, customer service was a skill completely lacking. She said the service team doesn't start until 8am, I replied well maybe you shouldn't agree to something you cannot follow through with. She made a snotty comment, the Jeep sat for quite a while and was eventually taken in for an oil change, where I was late for work after explicitly booking it as not to be late. Needless to say, the second the lease on this jeep is up, the keys will be dropped off. I would NEVER give business to Steele Chrysler EVER again. In fact, I would rather slit my throat than to have to deal with them again, and especially to buy a car from them. If you are thinking of going here... DON'T. Save yourself a headache, and give your money to someone who will actually appreciate you. More
Truck been there since July and now middle of October Took truck in to get new front end. First they didn’t have any parts in stock then the parts we’re back ordered. Finally after 6 weeks they call to sa Took truck in to get new front end. First they didn’t have any parts in stock then the parts we’re back ordered. Finally after 6 weeks they call to say the truck is ready, we pick it up and when driving it home noticed it was still making the noise so we took it back and the tech said,”it just rust on the rotors and just drive it.” After 28 km the front end of the front locked up causing us to crash into a ditch. Long story short the tech didn’t know the new front end didn’t come with fluids from the factory. So now it’s October 19 and still no truck from July 03 and not a sorry or anything from dodge. Luckily we bought a new to us gm or our business would of been ruined this summer. More
Service department My experience with the service department at steel dodge on Bedford highway was absolutely horrific!!! I never received a recall notice for a fault My experience with the service department at steel dodge on Bedford highway was absolutely horrific!!! I never received a recall notice for a faulty alternator on my 2012 Dodge Charger so when it failed I called Steele to get the car in. They refused to get my car towed in, fine I did that. When they did do the work to my car they didn’t even bother to try and charge the battery. They simply pushed the car into the garage, replaced the alternator and then Pushed it back out. When they called me to tell me the work was complete they tried to tell me that the battery was dead and I needed a new one for $350 dollars of course..... I said no. Because the battery in the car was brand new and still under warranty. The ONLY saving grace of this place is a mechanic named Steve. When I went to go check out my car he noticed me and came over to chat. (He was not working, just got off) After a few minutes he knew exactly what was going on. He apologized and pulled In His personal truck and gave me a jump, reset my computer and had me on my way in 10 minutes. TLDR? Don’t trust a word these people say. Do your own investigation first and in person with the mechanics there..... More
Buyer beware when it comes to service. Get a written quote! I scheduled a service on my Ram 3500 to have the serpentine belt and tensioner replaced and I was sorely disappointed. First I s Get a written quote! I scheduled a service on my Ram 3500 to have the serpentine belt and tensioner replaced and I was sorely disappointed. First I showed up for my 8:30 appointment 15 min early only to be told that my appointment was actually at 10:30. I was quoted 1hr for the belt and tensioner (I was supplying the parts) @$109/hr. This was verbal and my mistake for not getting it in writing. On the phone the service advisor (Cathy) was so nice she upsold me an oil change for $150. I expected my bill to be in the $300 range. During the work they discovered my water pump was bad and were able to get me an aftermarket on for $250+1.8hrs labour. Ok, Now I am in the $850 range, manageable. I showed up at 5:30pm to get my truck to find all the service dept people gone for the day and the receptionist with a bill for $1093. You can imagine the surprise! I took the evening to examine the bill, which didn't have much of a breakdown so I went to visit the dealership in the morning. Howard, the service manager met me and in a weasel like way, threw the service adviser under the proverbial bus. It was then explained to me that yes, the labour rate is $109/hr but because my truck is a diesel, that rate increases to $140/hr. I was told I should have asked what the rates were for diesels. I had no idea there were different rates. Then I was told that yes, the tensioner was 1 hr labour but the belt installation was another 0.7 of an hour to install. I understand book value of service time but to replace the tensioner and check it is in the correct position, You Have to Remove and Replace the Belt! I didn't get a written quote so I paid the bill. What I was told would be 2.8hrs labour turned into 3.5 and the extra $32/hr for labour explained the difference in price almost. $62 for shop supplies seemed a little excessive but all I got from Howard was a shoulder shrug. I went in looking for and explanation and that's what i got. Not an apology for the misunderstanding, but some slightly condescending advice about getting a quote ahead of time. I gave 1 star as a rating because the price of the oil change was good. They supposedly rotated the tires but somehow missed the tie rod end that also needed replacement. their website says that the service dept is open until 5:30 but I was told that i was wrong about that too. The tie rod end is being replaced at Pothier Motors. Its worth the 45min drive. Michael Smith More
