Tried Service Centre for first time - not going back Pretty frustrating experience and a waste of time. Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in as engine light was coming on. Had an auto repair shop look at it Pretty frustrating experience and a waste of time. Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in as engine light was coming on. Had an auto repair shop look at it and they told it was a issue with Cylinder 4. So, took it to the dealership. The first time they looked at it, said they couldn't find any diagnostics and the computer didn't show any history. Spark plugs, etc. were fine. Leave dealership and an hour later, the engine light comes on again. This time, I look online at the Jeep forums and they say it is a cylinder issue (just like the auto repair shop said). I tell the service centre that when I go back, but they have to run diagnostics to confirm for $160. Turns out this is a known issue (defective part) and FCA is extending the warranty to fix it. Tried to up-sell me on an engine tuneup for $700-$800 to 'resolve my problem', which some of the services they will have to do when they replace that left cylinder anyway. Called FCA Customer Service as I didn't have to pay the diagnostic fee of $160 given it was a known problem, and they contacted the dealership to resolve for me. Don't think they liked me calling the FCA customer service, because I didn't get a shuttle back for 3 hours. And when I finally got there, they tried to take the customer whom we waited 15 minutes for in the shuttle and was therefore after me in line -- pretty rude. I asked to go first as I had been waiting the longest, and got a dirty look. I don't feel confident in returning there again - not sure I can trust their advice and have faith in their service. More
