Not impressed with sale techniques I went in to the dealership because I had recently moved to town and was interested in looking at vehicle options to purchase. I went in hoping for a 2018 Santa Fe but after hearing the price, I wanted to also look at used vehicles and figure out what the best option would be for me. I asked my sales person to look at the 2018 Santa Fe, 2018 Tucson and also made it clear that I wanted to look at the used cars they had on their lot. My sales person refused to show me any used cars and said my only options were the 2018 vehicles. When I was hesitant to agree to anything on my very first day going in, he continuously said "I don't know what's holding you back from purchasing" after I repeatedly told him I did not currently have a job (as I had just moved here) and that it was my first big purchase. I felt very pressured and uncomfortable at the dealership. When I had first arrived they had asked for some information on me, including my phone number. I would not have provided it if I had known that my sales person was going to continuously message me for weeks after visiting asking me when I would be able to purchase etc. I informed him that if I was still interested in looking at vehicles at Southtown that I would call him and thanks for his time. He continued to message me even when getting no response. I felt harassed and uncomfortable. I decided to try West Edmonton Hyundai and received excellent service. They asked permission before using my phone number provided, and understood when I said that it was a big purchase for me. I ended up buying a vehicle from them instead. After purchasing, I told my sales person that I had purchased elsewhere and his response was that I should have told him the deal West Edmonton hyundai gave me so that I could have bought with him instead given all the work he put in test driving etc... we went for one test drive on one vehicle. Would have liked to have purchased from Southtown as the finance lady and the sales manager were very friendly. However, I do not appreciate someone taking advantage of having my contact information to continuously send messages when I clearly was not interested. Would recommend West Edmonton Hyundai as their sales people are not pushy, and do not use your phone number without permission. More

I’ve always dreaded dealing with car dealerships & car salesmen. I’ve had varying bad experiences previously when buying a car – everytime. But when I met Joms I had a feeling this was going to be a different experience. Jolly little fellow. He was honest, respectful, fair, doesn’t rush things, knows his stuff well and thorough in his work. Dealing with Joms, I felt no pressure at all. He made the whole experience painless. He ensured we were being presented all the information, all our questions were answered, and did all he could to honour our requests. Our financial manager, Doug, also took good care of our situation and put in all his effort to provide the best case scenarios for us with our financials and make our lives easier. We sent a couple of messages, and made arrangements for me to pop in. I ended up having to re-schedule my appointment, Mike was so nice and understanding. Went in a few days later to test drive the vehicle, and it was a great experience. I felt no pressure to purchase and Mike really had my interests in mind, not just another sale. I was able to meet Sean (the sales Manager) who was very nice and honest. They were able to take my trade, get me into a new to me 2017 Buick Encore and saved me over $100 a month in payments! Working with Ana in the finance department was a dream, she was so accommodating and welcoming of my business. She worked a good deal with the bank for me and was just a super star! When picking up the vehicle, Mike was so excited for me. The vehicle was clean, detailed, and Mike took the time to walk though, in detail, all of the features my new ride had! I really felt that he appreciated me and my business. More

SO MUCH DISSAPOINTED! MISLEADING! OVERPRICING! and they have some hidden charges! They gave us Nissan Versa for the price of $12,400 after few days waiting for approval we saw the price of the same and they have some hidden charges! Wat d heck! ( mean to say the ads on kijiji is misleading.) They charge twice for the admin bec they have two admin, one is the hyundai admin and the other one is the finance admin. And I tought we bought the car but its not, it was only leased. ( From the start the word “lease” was never mention. My mistake I did not read before I signed bec they did not give you time to read.) we also pay for fab keys which is should be included.... so stressfull still working out on this but they were not helpful. Please if you care for your friend dont recommend just to get a go card points. More

For me both the product, a Genesis Coupe, and the sales and service proved to be a major disappointment. And it was what I felt poor service that ended my relationship with this dealership. This was my experience and I regret the day I made this purchase from Southtown Hyundai. More
