Happy with service. Not the tyre squeak explanation I have had a tyre squeak - noticeable at slow speed mainly - complaint whenever I come in for a service. I have never had this problem with any of the other cars I have had, including our second car which is a VW Passat wagon. So why do I have to listen to some B.S explanation about winter, the moisture, the metal of the disc brakes, etc, etc. In fact, I get the feeling that I am at fault and NOT the car. And the final indignity is that I am told that I should brake harder. When I leave a car parking parkade I am the ONLY car squeaking on its merry way to the exits. Not good enough. I expect that a VW should NOT have squeaking brakes. This "Das Auto" has a squeaking brake problem and it has not been resolved and it is definitely not my problem. More

I bought my 2015 Jetta last year and have put on 65,000kms since so I am no stranger to the service department. My last appointment was an excellent example of how to display exemplary customer service and go above and beyond. I'm greatful I like my VW because even if I didn't I might still choose southgate VW based on my experiences with them. More

I ended up changing my mind about the tires and a receptionist passed along the message to Bill. I dropped off my comp loaner (always appreciated) amd picked up my car. Bill stopped by the front desk to give me a VW touque. Small gesture, but lovely way to end a service appt. Price was high to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Otherwise, great appt. More

Continual failure to complete the job I called in to Southgate Volkswagen to have a oil pan heater put into my car, a diagnostic of an inconsistent engine light and a car detailing. My appointment was for Monday morning at 8:45am and the cleaning was not complete by the end of the day, so I was notified that they would need to keep it another day. I agreed. I was called on Tuesday to be told the cleaning had been completed and my car was ready to be picked up. I arrived by taxi to pick my car up only to pay over a thousand dollars and unlock an uncleaned car. The employees on site said they would like to keep the car to finish the cleaning and they would pay for my taxi back home. I was called on Wednesday to be informed that they were now going to deliver my car to me and upgrade my cleaning. When the car was delivered to me the car was missing part of the hubcap, the side view mirrors were still covered in dirt, underneath the seats had not been vacuumed and my snow scraper was missing. I called Southgate Volkswagen and was told it would be looked into and I would be called back (I was not called back). Thursday morning was the first snow of the year, so I spent my morning hand scraping snow off my car. I've called Volkswagen twice since and spoke with another service representative and left a voicemail and still have not been called back. I seriously question the quality of work that has been done on my car when a simple clean cannot be finished properly more than once. More
