I contacted this dealer to purchase a 2022 Nissan Armada - I was assured by 3 managers and the sales rep that the vehicle is in impeccable condition and I trusted them as I was a 5 hour drive away. I was looking for a specific trim/colour combo on the Armada and they had one that I liked so I made the deal on June 25th to pickup the vehicle on July 2nd after 2PM. So July 2nd came and I start my drive and after 5 long hours I made it to the dealership just after 3pm and I tried driving around to find the vehicle and couldnt find it. Then I spotted it on the lift and was thinking they must have a few things to work out and I should be on my way. I went in and spoke with the manager and they said they only need about 30minutes and by the time paperwork is completed I will be on my way. So right after I signed the paperwork the sales rep came and told me that the vehicle needs new tires and brakes and it will take 2 hours. So a little annoyed as the vehicle was supposed to be ready - I looked at it as a plus as now I get new brakes and tires. So after two hours I check in and found out now the brakes haven't arrived and we have to wait for them. Another hour goes by we are at around 630 and I am now told the brakes wont be in today and they the brakes cant be done and they would need to machine them and they would mail me the new brakes for me to install them. I said fine lets get this done so I can start my drive home. Finally just before 8pm the car is lowered from the lift and the mechanic takes it for a quick test drive to ensure everything is working. He pulls into a parking space and its the first time I get to see the car and first I notice is all the dents on the hood, pillars and roof. I realized that the vehicle was covered in hail damage and the dealer did not disclose this damage to me. The mechanic had the manager come out and I showed him the damage all over the vehicle and I pointed out the damage to the point and he said he didnt know it had this damage. The sales manager explained how they have a mobile dent repair company comes out and will charge $200 to show up and $10 per dent and that if he took $1000 off would that be acceptable. I explained that I am not comfortable with that as I think there is a few thousand in dollar what about the difference - the manager said I would be responsible for this damage above $1000. I told him if I knew that there was hail damage I wouldnt of purchased the vehicle and that I find it very hard to believe that this vehicle was in your care for over 4 months on your lot and 3 managers/sales reps/detailers did not notice it after all that time. Very obvious they knew about this damage and hoped I wouldn't notice and just drive off into the sunset. The manager then offered to cancel the deal and refund my money and so I took the option. So after driving 10+ hours and then waiting in their showroom very patiently for another 5.5hours to find out they lied about the condition of the vehicle and did not disclose the damage nor did they even apologize and now they flat out refused to compensate me for my loses. I will be sharing my story regarding my experience at Southbank Dodge and how this is the absolute worst experience every buying a vehicle. And if you are interested in a white 2022 Nissan Armada Platinum with vin# JN8AY2DB3N9814736 please know that this vehicle sustained hail damage and to check it very carefully as they are now fixing it and will be relisting or sending it to auction soon! We purchased a new 2020 Jeep Wrangler from Southbank in November 2019 and are still waiting for Southbank to complete the warrantied paint repairs that were approved by the manufacturer many months ago. Countless visits and calls to their service department over the last four years with promises to set a date for our Jeep to come in within a few weeks for repairs, only to be told they are having staffing issues and they will be in touch. They don’t call back and give excuses every time we call or have sales contact us instead of service to try and sell us another new vehicle instead of fixing the one we have. More
