Not a big deal. I've chosen to deal with another dealer. I don't feel it's a miscommunication at all on how the loyalty rebates work. I called your dealership and spoke with your business office on how the offers are written up the day I backed out of the sale. I also spoke Lakewood? and Davis in Airdrie plus the dealer that I finally completed a sale with. None of these dealerships stated the way your sale staff wrote the offer was correct. One dealer even stated it was gouging. I realize sales is somewhat a game for sale staff to make as much as they can from a customer. Your dealership had a vehicle in I was strongly interested in. I asked for a few pictures of it. Yet the vehicle I was told was out having a box liner sprayed in and that was added on to the invoice. Sadly earlier, the sale staff sent me the build sheet with a box liner factory sprayed in. I hope you don't change everyone for spray in liners when they come factory? I guess if your don't give customers window stickers of build sheets no one would know your double changing. I bought a new vehicle the same day I backed out of your dealership and another a week ago. None of these dealers added the loyalty rebate on to the sticker price only to take it later. The customer is not saving the rebate if your adding it on? The dealer is making the rebate and not the customer. Weeks after backing away form Sherwood Park I should not have received anything from your sales staff. After such a nice text I blocked him. I'll email you that text I received.

I'm sorry to hear you had decided to move on as I recall meeting you and enjoyed working with you on at least one of your previous purchases (the white Corvette). We do put box liners in all our trucks upon PDI along with flaps & wheel locks, the ones that already have liners do not get double charged to the client as that would be dishonest indeed. Of course the charge we incur on the units done locally and not from factory must be passed on as this is now a legitimate accessory on the truck. I have reviewed the text conversation that you are referring to and although you mentioned there is no confusion on the rebates, I feel I need to clarify the disclosure of the loyalty rebate. When you were negotiating the price of the vehicle I understand you came to an agreed upon price plus taxes and fees. There are rebates that are directly to the consumer, such as loyalty that show on a bill of sale (after tax) & there are rebates that go directly to the dealer (pre-tax that are not reflected on the bill of sale). Regardless of the type of rebate it all ultimately gets factored into the overall purchase price of the vehicle plus taxes and fees, so in reality you were in fact buying the vehicle for $59,642++ (we may have been $50 off due to the after tax implication, however this is the price I believe you had negotiated). Loyalty is in fact one of the after tax rebates offered by GM & that is why it is disclosed as such on our bill of sale as you only pay GST on the difference between the vehicle purchased and your trade in. I suppose the Sales Manager who wrote out the bill of sale could be re-written to show the price $1000 less however that could in-correctly represent the rebate as a pre-tax rebate potentially causing further issues. Also in your review you mentioned that Danny had called you an "auto correct F-word". When reviewing your texts back and forth with Danny it seems that you refer to another one of the sales consultants working here as such? Was Danny’s message to you not in reference to the jests you had made previously? The tone of a text message can often be misinterpreted. Ultimately, the reputation of my dealership is near and dear to my heart and I wish only to speak with you in person to properly resolve your concerns. Not in an effort to benefit myself, but to set the record straight in hopes that you may reconsider posting such a negative review after further dialogue. Yes, we make mistakes and clearly more than one was made in this situation, but we do learn and own up to them in an effort to improve each and every day.
