And when Kia Canada finally opened it up for pre-order, I immediately went to the dealer close The Kia Stinger has been on my radar for a long time. And when Kia Canada finally opened it up for pre-order, I immediately went to the dealer close to home. Unfortunately that dealer did not know much of the car nor what pre-order means (asked for the registration and ownership of my leased car already). Luckily there's Rob to the rescue. I enjoy working with Rob for both the pre-order process and the overall transaction experience. He kept me informed - both good and not so pleasant news - and addressed potential issues accordingly. The transparency helped me prepare for what to expect for a car that was not yet available in Canada, let alone test driving it. I also had a chance to meet a few others on the team when the pre-production demo Stinger was in the dealership for a short few days. The friendliness in general within the whole Scarboro Kia team reassured my initial instinct on this dealer. Overall, the personal touch of Rob and the team is the main reason I strongly recommend this dealer. Car ownership is an experience. This is a very important aspect for Kia to move upmarket. Product itself is not enough. I switched from driving a Lincoln, and I can share that the ownership experience was a mix bag. It is mostly due to the dealership setup, that their mindset is to handle the volume Ford customer base. I can see Scarboro Kia being the first "Genesis of Kia" dealership in Ontario. More
