I bought a VW Taos 8 months ago, my right rear tire has started delaminating from the inside. Pinholes in the tire which has caused it to leak. They told me it was irreparable, which is fair, but even thou started delaminating from the inside. Pinholes in the tire which has caused it to leak. They told me it was irreparable, which is fair, but even though it is a faulty tire or manufacturing deficiency, I am to pay full price for a tire on an 8 month old car that I did not wreck? I would have paid for the install and labour, but don’t think I should pay for a brand new tire. I have a friend that had that happen to their vehicle and they DID NOT have to pay for their tire. Service was quite rude to my husband and told him they sell vehicles, not tires. I have a precious cargo and do a lot of highway driving with them in the car. I’m pretty sure if you want to sell the vehicles, the tires should be decent quality as well. We have been without a vehicle for a week, we live out of town and I have to find alternate ways to work and kids activities. Quite disappointed and frustrated and feel the next vehicle will not be a 50,000 VW. More
They sent a bailiff out to take my car when I wasn't even behind, the mistake was on their finance company's (owned by them) and failing apply 2 car payments in which I prepaid in order to correct a proven i behind, the mistake was on their finance company's (owned by them) and failing apply 2 car payments in which I prepaid in order to correct a proven issue with my current account and not get behind. Instead the payments continued coming out, therefore bouncing and unknowingly as I switched banks, emailed a pre-auth form for the payments to come out. When I had talked to someone they hadn't even applied it to the principal and had a bailiff showing up when in all reality I wasn't behind! They not once provided proof to where that money went, I was passed around and continuing to have to follow up with no answers to where that prepayment went, no loan statements asking to see where my payments were going so I could better understand what was even happening and when I thought they switched my banking that actually just stopped taking payments with no communication or reason why, at this point with the prepayment and promised return of nsf fees I never got I wasn't behind. When I finally spoke with someone he cc'd this gal who never ended up emailing or calling me, I again had to reach out to the guy and ask if she was going to communicate or what I needed to do. He cc'd me in his emails to 2 other and while at work I got a call in which I missed and 15 minutes later an emailed I was cc'd stating she left "messages" and implied she had been trying but she only called the once, didn't answer my call back and when I was in Florida I finally spoke with her, asked what I was behind, what the best way to pay that would be cause I didn't feel comfortable after the way i did it last time and that I still have not seen (for the 5th time) any loan statement or any proof of where funds even went. I told her when I'd be back and committed to come that day or the next at the latest! She said that sounds great, we updated what info we could and I finally felt some peace in the matter. We got in later than expect because of delays and pretty much went to work on no sleep, not even concerned as i communicated, got the funds I seen on a min and no name, what appeared to be a screen print with a number that made sense and just to show effort had my boyfriend email funds or have a pending email I show and change as I wasn't even sure what I was looking at. But as I was leaving work sent her an email confirming I had what I needed and if there was anything she thought different of our convo let me no as I was on my way. To get a response saying they picked the car up, she hadn't heard from me or anything at all (which was xx, I had her on speaker and the call recorded, I was clear on my location and return as was her understanding and commitment in finding a resolve! I was so shocked and disgusted, I've retained a lawyer, because it makes no sense how a business could treat someone like the have me and deliberately put me into default, ignore me until I was and take a car I've been paying for and chasing around, to me scammed and lied to. There is so many mistakes and error on their part and creditmaxx it is shocking to me that over $705 in which I've not once refused to pay, and was told by 2 employees or high ups that we could resolve this. They were trying to take the car back 3 weeks after I drove it off the lot and for no provable or explained reason. When I asked or requested paperwork, nothing, I haven't even so much as got a call unless I've called or one from Jen in response to my email! I learned from a bailiff that showed up at multiple locations looking for the car, that I was behind but in all reality at that time I was actually ahead with funds they failed to apply as they directed I could! Deliberately forcing a default for a used car, that had a down payment more than 2%, plus payments, to force a willing to pay (for someone else's error) customer, mislead, and what must have looked like an easy target! 1000% mistake choose this dealership when replacing my vehicle. Sold me an suv that smelled like it had been parked for a very long time and had mice move into the engine and you could smell I everytime the heater was on, I contacted Josh and told him I just had a baby 3 very long time and had mice move into the engine and you could smell I everytime the heater was on, I contacted Josh and told him I just had a baby 3 month prior eho just had TWO OPEN HEART SURGERIES anf mice are full of germs and things that could make my infant very very sick when he's still recovering, he took it to look at it said there was no smell said they cleaned out all the vents and inside and brought it back. Driving it later with the heater on I could still smell that nasty smell and looking around I noticed that had put air fresheners everywhere in the car to try and cover up the smell under the driver seat in the glove box etc etc then I searched up the bin number on my vehicle turns out they sold it to me while there was an active recall on it !! I couldn't believe it we contacted Josh and he said there was no way he could have sold it to me if there was an active recall on it so I sent him the file showing there was. So after about a month of him suggesting low end crappy cars (when I specifically told him I wanted an suv as our family was expanding) he also kept suggesting this 2018 nissan qashqai I tried and tried for a ton of different sums but kept getting told I wouldn't be accepted by the bank (even though I had literally just finished paying of my first loan to that very same bank the month before) so eventually he said he'd give me this really wicked deal on the qashqai like almost half the asking price and so I agreed he came to my house that day and he stood outside it was winter and freezing out so I came outside without looking at the contract he brought I foolishly signed thinking I was getting the deal he promised.. WRONG I was charged DOUBLE what he promised me he'd sell it to me for!!! I was furious I contacted him and the owner even the consumer protection people and they all pretty much said well your a grown up you should have read the papers !! I actually thought VW was a good company they looked after me the first time I purchased with them it was amazing but this time they took advantage of me at a really hard time in my life like I said my 3 month old baby had just had 2 open heart surgeries and on the way to Edmonton for his second one we were rear ended by a semi truck and my car was totalled and we were stranded in Alberta still an hour away from our destination and the life saving surgery my then 7 week old son desperately needed so upon arriving home and searching for a new vehicle I was desperate and needed a vehicle as soon as possible and they took advance of me and my situation instead of showing kindness and compassion like I thought they would we had already been through so much and then they did that to me it was so heartbreaking because I actually spoke so highly of them before this. And now it's not even a year later with this vehicle and I find out on the coldest day of the year my suv doesn't have a frickin block heater !! And the battery just drained from the cold and is completely dead and useless I can't plug in my vehicle to heat the engine so I can't start the thing but even if I solved that problem which I did I got a block heater but the battery is completely useless now bo matter how many boosts I get or however much I charge it up the battery is pooched and so now I have no vehicle at all. I hate VW they are scummy weasles that have no compassion or ethics they are simply scummy it doesn't matter who you are or what you've been through all they see are dollar bills you "people" should be ashamed of yourselves. Also not sure if the Vin numbers match on my qashqai they come up as a Rouge sport or don't come up at all its messed up probably not even the right car sold to me slimy serpents More
Both the service and sales department is an utter disgrace. Any salesman can sell anyone a car. However, a successful dealership hinges on their service department. I’ve always found it shocking to h disgrace. Any salesman can sell anyone a car. However, a successful dealership hinges on their service department. I’ve always found it shocking to hear multiple people in Saskatoon will willingly drive their VW to Prince Albert, and even Alberta to avoid having to deal with Saskatoon Volkswagen. This place is not capable of fixing a hot wheels car, let alone being honest about anything in the process. We have decided to sell & stop driving VW completely because of our poor experience here time and time again. The fastest response we ever got from them was after leaving a poor review they were concerned about. It’s no secret the poor reputation that this place has in this city & province, and I can assure you it is very well deserved. You should be ashamed. VW Saskatoon, save your time responding to this post asking for clarification. You suck, get over it. More
I enjoyed my experience. Got a fair deal. My concerns with addressed with patience and courtesy. My only "complaint" is with the (so-called) doc fee of about $1,495. Everythi Got a fair deal. My concerns with addressed with patience and courtesy. My only "complaint" is with the (so-called) doc fee of about $1,495. Everything I read online says that such fees are (1) a bit of a con, and (2) avoidable. BUT, they did knock the fee down $1,000 after I refused to pay it. Whether the fee is legit or not, it's just another expenses that's added on to the final cost. And add 11% taxes on to the final sales price and suddenly a person feels that they're paying a "whole lot of something" in return for a "whole lot of nothing." Of course, we can't blame the dealer for COVID-related (super) inflated prices and the general increases in inflation. But I still think that $1495 for a doc fee is exorbitant More
Service department is terrible. I worked here. Trusted them fully with buying a vehicle. On there 3 point inspections they said it wasn’t leaking anywhere, brought it to another sho I worked here. Trusted them fully with buying a vehicle. On there 3 point inspections they said it wasn’t leaking anywhere, brought it to another shop, my drive shaft is hanging on by a thread ( only used 4wd once) and has been broken since before I bought it, when I brought it there for a minor fix they said they checked over everything and did not. Checked everything off as clean, while it was not, as the shop my vehicle is at right now said it has been leaking in 6 different places for a while, and has actually rusted around where it is leaking, how do you miss that????? And then try to blame this on the km on my vehicle, I know what basic maintenance is with my km and this exceeds it. I know many people with the km I have and they do not have these problems. Since buying my vehicle has been driven very clean, I always keep my vehicle clean,( no reason for it to rust), 6 leaks miraculously happening in the span of 4 months plus my drive shaft is hanging on by a thread??? and somehow not caught????? isn’t just a mistake it’s ignorance and failure to do a full proper check. If I could give this department a rating of zero I would, nor would I recommend anyone to trust the mechanics at this place, or to buy a vehicle from here. If giving a zero was possible I would. If your reading this never trust this place with your vehicle. More
Service department sucks. Pamela is quite rude. She couldn't explain to me what services were recommended for my vehicle. Brought my vehicle in for a 200$ oil change, I asked Pamela is quite rude. She couldn't explain to me what services were recommended for my vehicle. Brought my vehicle in for a 200$ oil change, I asked her if they could maybe give it a quick vacuum while it was in a service. She then informed me it would cost me 50 dollars she was also quite rude after i asked. Honestly I'm in the Volkswagen dealership every 3 months for thier recommended maintenance. And have dropped over a 2000$ on maintenance this year alone and they couldn't even vacuum it out without trying to charge me another fee. Truth is she didn't care about making me a happy paying customer. Also I found it offensive and invasive that she had the nerve to look into my sons car seat and ask me personal questions regarding him without asking me. Keep ur hands and face away from my baby. I AM not buying another Vehicle from Volkswagen again or recommending anyone I know to buy one either. Over all terrible experience with this dealership.. More
